I think if you only consider the rest of the players on the team, it's obvious they played harder/better for Tebow than Orton. That alone is incremental value, regardless of tebows throwing/lack of throwing skills.

RB: kelvin Taylor will get the bulk of the carries. Slight improvement here if lane also steps up.

TE: upgrade with McGee

QB: anyone is an upgrade to driskel. So Grier or Harris will be anywhere from slightly improved to better

WR: Robinson will be an all SEC honorable mention level receiver. The question is whether fulwood /Powell/Pittman emerges as a second legit threat.

Straight line speed is easily as fast as these two. This is probably THE REASON he was named #1 dual threat QB coming out of HS. However, we know football isnt played on a track. Manziel is shift and quick in addition, which makes for a better scrambler. BUT, Top end speed Driskel keeps up with 30 more lbs of body weight. Ask Vandys DBs who couldnt run him down from one step behind

..My wife went to Arkansas before transferring to Florida. I went for many games. The stadium atmosphere is nice but the tailgating better than Florida? Come on. It has that same empty kinda vibe (with the exception of right next to the stadium) in many spots like Kentucky does


How can anyone objectively rank these unless theyve been to each campus during a tailgate for a big game?

Im gonna wager that many of the posters above are ranking sites theyve never tailgated at.

Heres my rankings of where ive been based ONLY on personal experience with limited data points at some schools. However, Im only ranking the schools Ive tailgated at.

Tennessee
Florida
Alabama
South Carolina
Auburn
Arkansas
Kentucky

Havent tailgated at the 2 newbs, the mississippi schools, or vandy
