I think it's Leslie. I know a lot of people want RSJ, but I think with QL, LSU will be just fine. With Leslie you get the "big" receiver with some college (JC I know) experience that can help the team right away (see Patterson for TN). Plus, Leslie is a natural receiver already, he won't have to "learn" the position. RSJ measurables and potential are great, but I think there's a lot of drama there too (hince why TX pulled their offer).

I also say Melvin Jones, on Rivals he's only a 3* but received offers from 8 SEC schools and 3 Big 12 schools....hmmm....With his athleticism he could be stalwart in the 4-3 Defense. The potential of having M.Jones, Beckwith, and any of the 5 LBs from last year's class....the LB position would be set...LSU = LBU...lol.. Question: Could M.Jones possibly move to DE: (6'3 246lbs 4.6 40)???

La 2014 Recruits...

Posted by airforceLSUfan on 11/23/12 at 7:55 am
Was just talking to a FSU fan about recruiting and I had to share. He was bragging about the classes they had come in the past few years and how FSU is about to run a dynasty!!

I know every year is important in recruiting and in 2013 we have some studs (com on Williams & Beckwith), however, I was telling him about the La recruits in 2014. It should be HUGE for LSU. For every "position of need" we don't even have to leave the state for except maybe the 3 DBs out of Texas. I was telling him if we get (see below) LSU would be set-up for years!!

Are there any other recruits out there we are looking at within the state that are "flying under the radar"???

Fournette (he said he never heard of him; I said, "ask Jimbo about him")
Robinson
Clapp
Brumfied
Willis
L.Jones
Dupre
Quinn
Noil
Godchaux
Sims
Washington

Texas DBs
Brown
Paris
Simmons

TD vets, don't beat me up too bad with your replies (i read the board everyday), I know I'm looking 2 yrs ahead, I'm just excited about the potential and trying to represent my home team from overseas!!! lol...Wish I was home to see us beat the Hogs today!!!

BTW: Nick stay out the boot, leave our guys alone...
The Saints best defensive player ALL year has been Drew Brees and the offense. It started with Green Bay game. This is terrible. No more football for me until Sept.

Go Lakers!!
Can we please get a DB that can cover!!! 2 years in a row! Malcom Jenkins you played a Hellva game! Wow
I'm stationed in Germany. There're quite a few of us here from West Baton Rouge and Iberville Parish.

Well I don't think LSU would put one of their best recruiters on him in F. Wilson if the kid didn't have BCS level talent. Plus, Bama showed enough interest to invite the kid for a visit on their biggest recruiting weekend of the year...And as far as only having 3*'s...Les and Co. have proven that it doesn't matter how many recruiting stars are next to your name (I'm sure you don't need any examples)..

All I'm saying is that the kid looks like a good prospect that's right in our backyard, esp if Seals stays home...

I'm a big LSU fan stationed overseas, and have been following the recruiting board for a few years now (this is my first post). With departure of RR, LSU will need a big receiver soon and neither of LSU 2012 WR recruits seem to be that BIG receiver we always seem to get. Has anyone heard of 2013 prospect from Carver HS: Raheem Falkins 6'3 190lbs.
