Poor vacation planning as always :banghead:
I didn't say Davey was from LA, just saying that Nall & Josh Booty are and were contemporaries of Davey. He used Davey, among others, to define the time frame.
Josh Booty & Craig Nall came to LSU the same year as Davey so those 2 have to be included. Also, LSU became a legitimate national recruiter under Saban and has been able to go after the best since then, not just limited to Louisiana QB prospects

I know no one wants to say it, but it didn't hurt that LSU and UF played them early in the year.

I wouldn't say we played them early in the year. A&M opened with Florida, but we played them on October 20th, their game 7.

Gotta support the team
Besides, the score was 21-14. Florida State thought about going for the 2 point conversion, but decided it was too early and didn't want to be chasing that point the rest of the game.

You seem to be missing my point. Boyd had 11 strike outs. Indiana could not touch him. Neither team hit a ball deep enough to be considered to have a chance to be a home run. Also, I have not once complained that we should have beat MSU on saturday.

One thing you are failing to consider is how this ball park allows you to pitch. You can repeatedly take chances with pitches here that you could never consistently take in a more conventional ball park. You can challenge with the fastball at the letters over and over again with little to no downside. If they catch up to it, it's probably a fly out. If not, you get the strikeout. Under normal circumstances, after a couple of those leave the yard, you realize the reward of a few more strikeouts is not worth a couple of home runs.

Yes, these are good pitchers, but the way this ball park is playing has significantly changed the game. The threat of a home run is essentially gone, it's just that simple.

A common phrase when referring to insurance runs late in a game, especially to getting the lead to 4, was so 1 swing of the bat can't beat you. TD took care of that!

The ball that Katz hit was a mistake the pitcher made and brought down to about Katz' waist. He was able to get his hands of top of the baseball and drive it hard. Pitches higher than that still look enticing, but are extremely difficult to get your hands on top of.

This. Belt high pitches were not the problem. The problem was the pitches at the letters that we simply could not lay off of.
You basically have Laird, Rhymes and sometimes Stevenson. No one else brought their bats
When did Bregman become such a typical freshman who is constantly overmatched and clueless????
It's nut up or shut up time for the heart of our order!!
We have that pop-up shite down pat!!!!!!!!!
We are the ones who don't look legit. The way we have played in Omaha makes you wonder how the hell we got here!!!

This is like reliving the Stony Brook super regional, sans the comeback in game 1
Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop drinking
