re: Not all Iowa fans are stupid!

Judas priest, hawk8645, how about having a little pride?

Nothing like the usual cowering Hawkeye fans showing up over here to lick boots while bending over to take it. Just sad.

No, it kind of doesn't. The SEC is top dog, and has been for this decade. Frankly, the only other conference that comes close talent wise this decade has been the PAC 12, but now that USC is down and after Chip Kelly left, even they are weak this year.

For chrissakes, quit leaning on your conference to somehow show how great you are. The SEC had eight teams with a .500 or worse conference record this season.

I get tired of hearing the same garbage every time Iowa plays an SEC team. It's talent, it's speed, it's the SEC. Blah, blah, blah. The last four times Iowa played an SEC team in bowls in your own backyards, they curbstomped South Carolina, won a close one against LSU, lost a close game against Florida, and whipped another Florida team, badly.

Bring something to the table besides your conference, please, because Iowa isn't playing the SEC All-Stars.

But to throw around Big ten Stats like they're remotely comparable to sec stats is just silly

Kind of works both ways, doesn't it?

I refuse to post on other teams boards after Landthieves banned me after 6 posts

Care to educate an Iowa fan as to what/who Landthieves is? Sounds like a good story coming, and I'd like to hear it, if you don't mind.
Really nice post there. Can't blame you a bit for wanting to play Michigan more, and I understand all the reasons you stated. No problem with it. It is what it is.
Nice to see my username and password still works for this place after all the years gone by, since the Capital One Bowl.

I also see some things haven't really changed around here, either.

Wasn't that catch that guy's first career touchdown and he was a senior?

That was a huge part of the lore. Warren Holloway was a soft-spoken, reliable WR, a hard working senior who contributed when asked. He never caught a touchdown pass in his career until that final moment.

You just can't make that stuff up. The fact that it was Holloway that caught the ball and not Chandler or Hinkel added so much to the moment.
