They are doing their trial openings. Most places do that to let their employees get practice.

Food is good. Nice atmosphere. Where do these coupons come from? Would like to take my best friend when she comes into town.

Went shopping today and it seems that pleats are everwhere. A Leeann inspired touch???

Does anyone know where all this plaid is coming from? The mall was filled with it. So was TJ Maxx & Target. Was hoping it would have stayed dead in the 90s.

Oh... everyone on this board is so much cooler than the people on the food board. Some of them are such haters.

Went it was out in theaters, my husband & I went see it. It was a choice of it and something else that didn't interest me. I thought it would be something he would like as it involved espionage & that James Bond type world.

Julia Roberts & Clive Owens have great on screen chemistry. The acting is very well. However, the story isn't great. Think someone else called it a jumbled mess. Was very disappointed. Hard to follow. I wouldn't waste my money renting.
Yes, I agree that Jen seems less high maintenance than Renee. Remember the whole Kenny Chesney annulment saga? I think she burned him on marriage for life.

A good place for people watching.
Glad to hear more for you. That dark layer of seasoning on the outside is the best!
This is hard to believe.... but Sam's has an excellent hummus for about $5 per tub. Nice sized tub too.

Grew up here in S. La & never had them to this year. Don't know why us Cajuns & Coonies never thought of it. Never heard of any natives making this. Biscuits and a roux/ tomato gravy is the closest I have heard here locally.
I haven't been to the Recruiting Bash. Was wondering how that was. I think the fire marshal only allows 3000 people in there. I have a Spanish Town Krewe and I know for a fact they can only sell 3000 tickets to the ball (which is held there) for that reason.

When it was in the PMAC, it used to be all food vendors. Maybe a vendor or two who showcased handcrafted items, but not the Army. Almost felt like it was the Biz Tech Expo.
Y'all are the ones who are all worked up. Someone posts a little something and everyone gets out of whack. Does anyone who posts on here can't take a little criticism without reporting someone to the Admin Board???? What is the admin board gonna think? I own Coyote Blues? Nope... I don't. Haven't even stepped foot in the place... yet. Can't wait to... as they have the best corn grits ever.

The Queen ain't fat or old ... or ugly for that fact. :nana:
Big old guys who like to eat are a dime a dozen in South Louisiana, baby. There is more to that story. You don't know about special grand openings unless you are a friend, family or work the business.

Charles Bronson... you are a hater too. You ain't the judge and jury. So whatta you gonna do about Off The Hook posting????? LOL... not a thing you can do about the ones who pay.

Some of you people on this board make me quite sick. You are such haters. Y'all banned a friend of mine who made a few comments about one place that they really liked to eat, accused them of owning a place they didn't own, and only pissed them off by having them removed from the board. Haven't you figured out when you piss off 1 person that they in turn tell 20 more people about the experience????

If he is the owner, let him say what he has to say. You people just hate because you never in a million years could put something together like a million dollar restaurant. The person who made an ugly comment about being a judge is probably a government employee with the personality of a rattlesnake.

BTW... a fact from Trends seminar(real estate).... they spent over a million dollars just to buy the land. That isn't even the construction of the place. They have to sell alot of food to keep the bills paid... esp in this economy.

And the owners are the Moody family, Mr. Barras, and some other person. The manager they have coming on board is from Outback, which both of the named owners had affiliations with Outback at some point in the past.

Afreaux... I am beginning to wonder exactly what you do. How did you know about the special grand opening? Are you a food critic for a local publication????????? I have been reading your posts and you sure know alot about plenty of restaurants. Good luck to those you suggested crash the party. It was by ticket only. Waiting to hear how my family enjoyed the food.

I wish them all the luck and hope they are successful.

Will have to check that out.

Watched He's Not That Into You and was like... whoa... who is the blond guy playing the husband of Jennifer Connelly. Anyone know of other movies he has been in? I know he played an 80's hair band singer in The Rocker.

He is nice eye candy.

So how long you ladies think Mitchell will make it? I say he will go very soon. His maternity outfit actually was a cute concept, but horrible in the execution.

Anyone watching Models of the Runway? That Fatma is a ... well. Hoping she isn't the picked one.

I think Irina will be a strong contender as well as the girl with the short black hair.

Her dad is the stuffiest looking old British guy. Think Prince Charles with snow white hair. Amazing she is so beautiful.
Turkies for Thanksgiving & the holidays. You can do yours & all of your friends.

So anyone went to the Taste of Tiger Tailgating? Favorites? Thoughts?

I am kind of wondering what it has morphed into. Years past, it used to be just food. The Army & blood bank were there tonight.

Thought the Denicola place had some nice stuff. The fleur de lis tiger cake was pretty cool at that cake booth.

Also, what was up with the two Couyon's? And how much do yall think Schlitz & Giggles pays those girls to walk around dressed like that?

It is Waffle House. What else you expected? You get what you pay for there.... and then some.
