No ties to Saban as I know of. He played college ball at ULM and has been coaching in Texas.

Nathaniel Jones is the new coach at Karr. He's a Karr graduate and was also part of the '93 championship team.

I believe he (Lamothe)was on F. Wilson's staff at O.P. Walker as well so that has to be good for LSU.

From what I was told, the current guys stated they weren't quite ready for the HC job themselves. I know that there is fellow alum that would like to see Edward Dillon take the job. He's currently coaching at Nicholls State. He was metro defensive player of the year in '93 when Karr won the first championship.

I heard Skip was recommended by Juluke. This is the first I heard of Marcus Scott though he did play his junior high ball at Karr and we were surprised when he left to play high school ball at Jesuit.

Soulja, i believe I was in the 7th grade at Karr when you were in the 9th. I believe Frank W. was in the same class with you.

Hey LUS Tiger in FL, I'm here in FL as well and am heading home early Friday to see this one! Gotta support the alma mater!
Karr hasn't won the championship since my senior year of 94. They've been back at least 4 times since and has come up empty each time. I'm hearing that they're very focused this time around. No pep rally given, just straight grind mode this week. Cougar Pride!!!

Soulja, You said that you graduated from Walker in 92 right? I graduated from Karr in 94. I've been waiting for anothing Karr team to bring home that championship since we did in 94.
