re: 11-18-11 NCAA Hoops Bets

I'm on the below. Currently 15-4 YTD:

Ga Tech -1.5
Miss St +3.5
Davidson +16
Cal St Fullerton -10.5
Is there a preferred day for this (like Monday vs Friday)? I have a little more than 2 weeks before I start, so I can plan accordingly.

How long until your interview with company Y?

This is my main problem- the 2nd round isnt for another 2 weeks. And then who knows if there is another process after that. And Company X is already behind the 8-ball in getting someone in, and have already upped their offer to me. I have a feeling any attempt to stall longer on that one will essentially end it. I'm pretty much leaning towards accepting. Its too risky trying to wait and see on Company Y.
I currently do have a job, so I'm not desperate or anything...but obviously have been interviewing for something else/better. I was ready to accept a job from Company X, but it took them a while to get back to me, so I continued to interview in the meantime. And now I've been through 1 interview with Company Y, and a 2nd was requested, but wont be for another 2 weeks. Really not sure what to do here...
...and knowing that if an offer was made from Company Y, you'd take that one over Company X? I havent called Company X back yet cause I'm not sure what to say. Any advice from anyone who has been through this predicament? Do I go the safe route and accept the one I've been offered or gamble and risk losing it to see whats behind door #2 (i.e. results from interview with Company Y)?

T.J. Jenkins and Scott Wedell never actually met, but they disliked each other from the start.

One loved the Steelers, the other loved the Jets. That sparked a blogging battle so intense it would make Rex Ryan blush.

"We were at each other's throats about everything," Jenkins said.

Tensions eventually cooled, then the rivals grew to respect each other. And finally this week, when the teams they love most were preparing to battle for the Super Bowl, Jenkins crumpled to the floor.

His blogging rival was dead. Wedell was only 19.

13 point teaser?

Yep. Pays a bit less than 1 to 1, but when in need of some action, they are fun.
I did a 4 team sweetheart teaser:

Bears +17
CHI/GB Ov 29
Jets +17
NY/PITT Ov 25

And if they like you. Depending on where you live they can fire you before you even get a chance to accept the offer.

I think this is my fear of B- I do have a good relationship with my current boss, and vice versa, put I fear the backlash of me even interviewing and getting this far with another company/position. Maybe its common and I'm overreacting? :dunno:
Forgive my ignorance, but I've only worked for 1 company thus far and so havent gone through this yet. But when you get another offer from a different company, do you:

a) Figure out whether this is what you want and tell them you accept or decline. And if you accept, then you put in your two weeks notice.

b) Tell your current employer you have an offer from another company and are considering it before giving your notice to the new company on your decision.

If you do A, what happens if your current employer decides to match or beat the offer and wants to keep you? Do you then go tell the new company you've changed your mind? Seems pretty unprofessional- but is that just how it works?

I'm sure this is no cut and dry process, just curious what is the preferred and more professional thing to do.

TIA!

Luckily, this was a verbal interview...

Time in-between interviews

Posted by Tiger4EverLSU on 9/30/10 at 7:14 pm
So I had a phone interview on Monday with a company's HR Recruiting Exec. She confirmed with me at the end of the call, and with my recruiter after the interview, that it went well and there would be a 2nd interview with the VP of the dept I'm applying for. However, she isnt the decision maker- the hiring manager is (the VP). And the whole week has just about passed, and we havent heard anything since.

Should I stop getting my hopes up? Or is this delay common? I've been with the same company since graduation (10 years) and have never tested the market till now, so this is all knew to me.
His starters have 40pts, his bench 119. I better freakin win!
My opponent benched both Best and McCoy. :nana:

I personally enjoy it.

Cant you find something on ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Classic, ESPN3, or any other station?
Just parlay Wiscy, Florida, USC, and Oklahoma.

$50 wins $43

Closest your gonna get to a lock.
My starting WRs consist of both, so I'm in even worse position.

I'm thinking of sitting Harvin though in favor of either Maclin or Aromashodu. Thoughts?
