How many of Messi’s 6 goals are from penalties, anyone know? I can’t remember.
Four - 1 in group play, 1 in QF, 1 in SF, 1 in F :yack:

Wish TOPS didn't have to be used immediately after graduation
Unless things have changed, it doesn't have to. I deferred my acceptance to LSU in 2003 and took a gap year. I worked and then traveled Europe before starting in August 2004 with TOPS. High school burnout was real and the TOPS fine print said that I had until the fall semester following the first anniversary of my high school graduation to use it. I learned way more in that one year "off" at age 18 than the succeeding four years at LSU.

This thread got me wondering: have any of you met a rhodesian immigrant before?
A friend of mine was born in South Africa to Rhodesian parents. They saw the writing on the wall and moved to Vancouver in the early '80s when she was a toddler. Lovely, hard-working people.
re: Saban disappointed by Bama's ineptitude at home this season

It's been an issue every year since he arrived. Bama plays some of their best ball on the road because they're more focused. Away games are essentially business trips where you get to leave the nagging wife and annoying kids at home.
They also come out of the Bye week sluggish as shite every year. Almost need to take a field trip to Legion Field for practice or something to break up the monotony yet still keep the rhythm from the previous games going.

what he said ^^
We all knew they still wouldn't have much defense under Kelly. You don't just get a defense overnight. They'd better get one before 2012, though.

They need a running game. How are you gonna throw on three straight downs at almost midfield? And this is before mentioning all the penalties...

Rugby League and Rugby Union
I would have liked to have seen Union to compare, but didn't get a chance. Any other noticeable differences?
I just really liked how the clock doesn't stop, they don't wear protective gear and they play both sides of the ball. Heck, even the extra point kicks were cool because it required some serious skill!

Rugby > Australian football
definitely! I just got back from Australia last week and attended an AFL match and an NRL match while there, both in Melbourne. Aussie Rules was cool in it's own right because it was action-packed (think high-scoring offenses), but Rugby was just a more solid sport. You could better see how American football came to be from watching Rugby.
I took Oregon State +17.5, but yeah, same difference. And I don't think we're crazy.
In 2007, Saban had to field a team and weed out the cancers from the previous regime. After Bama lost to LSU, they mailed it in the rest of November. Regular Season: 6-6.
In 2008, after LSU lost to Bama, that team also mailed it in with no title games on the horizon. Regular Season: 7-5.
The issue will be how LSU bounces back from losses this year, not whether they have any kind of talent/coaching advantage. It's an attitude thing.
