Many of the production builders throw together pretty crappy houses in some areas....like the far eastern suburbs, for example. Prices are still very good there even for higher end homes. My brother bought a beautiful place at one of the nicer parts of Fall Creek (north side) for a steal. T...
Ole Miss is pretty bad this year. I think we can take the gumps....but expect terrible officials....

re: Accident...car insurance going up?

I claimed about $1100 in vandalism and my rates didn't change. I know.....not an "accident". Either way, a 40% hike seems unreasonable if this is your first accident. This is why you carry insurance. ...

Either that or the auxiliary structure is taking in it's share? I'm sure the water is high enough to use the overbank structure too. I'm not sure what ORCS are included in those capacities. ...

Scottie, thanks for your input. Please keep posting. Hope the rumored 48.9 feet is bogus. ...
I don't think you understand.....people walking on the levee is the least of their problems. I hope I'm wrong, but parts those levees will be topped if the latest projections are right. The Advocate says BR is protected to 47.3 feet in some places. River is cresting at 48.9....
...48.9 feet....
Oh shite. I read that there are parts of the levee at BR that is only 48 feet without sandbags. Even on the higher sections, it will be damn near the top. Edit: lowest part of the levee in Baton Rouge is 47.3 feet. This is downtown near Florida str...
shite....49.5 would top the levee in parts of Baton Rouge. I hope those projections are not taking into account opening of Morganza. I'm really getting worried, now. Anyone know the extent of the levee protection on the west side? How would New Roads, Port Allen, and Brusly hold? I wa...
Morganza opening seems almost inevitable at this point..... Already sand boils around Farr park in Baton Rouge....
