Don't underesitmate Howard. He often looks a little awkward and then head fakes and drop steps a bucket on you. He looks like a lumberjack until he comes out of nowhere and swats one into the seats. His outside shot is not smooth or pretty, but he is really good around the basket. I'm sure you'll hate him by the end of the day and call him much worse than gay

Butler will likely have trouble early against the atleticism of LSU. We did vs. Ohio State and Xavier, but came back well. It takes a little while usually for them to catch up to the speed of the Major Conferences. If this game is close early, it favors Butler. I wouldn't be surprised of an early 16-5 lead for LSU.

Butler's 3 point shooters are not as good as last years team. Much streakier now

Our defense will knock away and steal passes into the paint. Our help defense is really good, and don't be surprised 2-3 charges taken throughout the game.

I take nothing personally, it's all in fun, and none of us are playing or coaching, but we will all be referees from our coaches or cubicles

I'm not disrespecting your ability to hit a 3. I'm just trying to tell you our defensive style. We don't play a 2-3 zone , just a packed in man to man. Some teams really pressure outside the arc, Butler wont. I worry about your big inside, we are really one 1 deep. I really enjoy the Southern hospitality on this board. I really don't know who will win, I can't believe LSU is an 8 seed, and Butler is a nine, they both should have had higher seeds.

Who is Butler?

I haven't seen a thread that really explains who is Butler. Butler is very young starting 3 Freshman, a sophomore, and a Jr. The 3 Freshman can play, but are inconsistent. Nored is the point and is quick and will guard your quickest player and slow them down, but will drive out of control into the lane, and is not a great shooter yet. Hayward is a 6'8" wing, who sometimes handles the point. He is too unselfish at times, but is a long 6'8" who can shoot the 3, drive, and rebound. Will remind many of Mike Dunleavy. Mack is a 6'3" wing who is best know as an outside shooter, and really sees the floor well. Howard is a 6'8" bruiser inside, you will think he can't play, but will end up with 18 and 10 if he doesnt get in foul trouble. Veasley is a 6'3" power forward. Will guard you best player and slow him down. He is limited player usually offensively. Butler got beat by Cleveland St. largely because they didn't guard Veasley and he couldn't knock down shots. Bench has seen limited minutes lately, but Hahn will hit 3s on you, and everyone is not good for 2-4 point most nights.

If Butler is lucky enough to win, you will blame the refs, and say you are better and should have won. It happens every time we play a big school. They can't figure out they lost. but did. Butler will have low turnovers, take good shots, and defensive will really defend you inside the 3 point line. We will not come and chase your quickness, just contest every shot, and get back so you don't easy lay-ups. You will hate us by the end. In warm-ups we will look like a JV team compared to yours. If the score is in the 50's we win, higher LSU wins
