I went to Borgne a couple weeks ago. I had the oyster spaghetti which was simple but very well done.

The duck poppers were definitely a must.

Someone at the table orded the stuffed flounder and she pretty much devoured the whole thing. I guess that is a good sign?

Such thing as a 3 hour Osso Bucco?

Posted by TheOtherOne on 1/10/12 at 9:58 am
Is it possible to make a really good Osso Bucco in less time than 6-8 hours?

I have a slow cooker and want to experiment on a 3-4 hour version of Osso Bucco.

Anyone have any suggestions/recipes I could play with?

TIA
To get off burgers ad back onto the thread, I agree with most of these.

As some people mentioned, Ruby Slipper, Katie's and Venezia's should be on here.

OP mentioned Cafe NOMA was D Brennen, it's Ralph Brennan.

I grew up on the same block as Mandina's and now live 2 blocks away. The food is still good, but I must admit that I miss having men that looked 100 years old being our server.

I don't want to rag on Neyow's because I do eat there fairly often, but Mandina's is better. Neyow's is definitely cheaper though.

Also, love that you included Lola's. They are great.

No mention of Mona's on Banks? I grew up on their food. When I'm craving something greek, that's what I want.

That is all

I'm at the Bulldog in Mid-City a lot. I got at least once a week.

I walk my dog over there and when it isn't crowded they occasionally let me go in the back patio and close the gate and let him run around.

I live closer to Finn's and I know I can bring my dog there (I have a couple of times), but I'm just stuck with going to the Bulldog out of habit I guess.

Chico is a great guy and I was so shocked to hear what happened to him. I love seeing how the LSU community is stepping up for him

Thye LA Pizza Kitchen on Carrollton is still open. I ate there about a month ago.

My vote is the POTA at Theo's as best pizza though.

Had Slice Monday. Better topping selection there, but the crust is better at Theo's.

How much is this restaurant going to have to pay for this?
I bought it from Rouses for Endymion last year. It was pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it again.

It's definitely a fun novelty to fool around with. And yes, it was a lot more potent than you would expect.
Brunch at Bouche.... No clue what I'm having, but I'm sure Bloody Marys will be involved.

Apple Hubig Pie is #1 :dude:

Anyone hear about the blueberry?

Oh, and McDonald's breakfast always makes me want to vomit not matter what I get. I would rather go hungry.

Waiting in line to eat

This guy has a point. I laughed because I recently went to Irene's and was making jokes about the wait.
Went for lunch today. Pretty much a combo of all the other RBRG restaurant items with a couple new things that will probably be at Cafe B.

It was fast and very well priced. I think it's a good replacement.
I see you either like them on facebook or follow them on Twitter. It's been up all day.
I'm getting a ride. Rivershack it is :nana:
Yea, but I was planning on walking. I figure Oak St. Cafe serves it, but I go there all the time and don't remember seeing a red bean special. Then again, I probably don't go on Monday's very often...
I figured Cammellia Grill would, but I don't want to wait for that long...

I have never had Bruno's... As in the bar?

Rivershack is far, but it is the best option as of now...
