re: Interview With Jim Hawthorne

Nice work. I'm 39 now, but some of my favorite memories are listening to Hawthorne with my late father and brother back in Minden, LA. We listened to every basketball game and most football games before they were on TV every week. He definitely makes many mistakes (especially lately) but his voice always brings me back to some of the happiest times of my life. Thanks.
May have been posted already but appears DirecTV is offering a free preview of their ESPN Fullcourt - check channel 720.

The end of the 1st half was just as bad. How do you not play a prevent with seconds left with the opposing team in their own territory.

Frustrating game all the way around.
Just to weak inside and thin on the bench. Need Daddy Dale and the Freak defense to pull of a final 4 performance. Sweet 16 is very possible considering Taz and MT just dont let this team loose. A lose to Vandy wouldnt be the worst thing in the world going into the tourney. SEC is not as bad as the critics say in my opinion.

It seems as if Taz and MT won't let this team lose. CJ seems to be a little more aggressive of late but will have his hands full and could get in early foul trouble. QT will have to have a big role off the bench. Temple seems to have found a shooting touch. Should be a close game. Although a loss this time of year wouldn't be the worst thing in the world going into the SEC tourney.
How do i listen to hawthorne online - he has to be fired up.
OK - play good defense every other game - better than the Brady days. No excuse for being that thin on the front line though. Coach will be good I think.
Will we ever get the caliber players of yesteryear such as?
Hot Plate
John Williams
Nikita
Abdoul
Steffon
Hi-C
Blanton
Redding
Stro
Fess
Jose
A Wilson
etc.??
Come 'on brau, you know it too. Great 1st half, but never over with LSU.
Didn't say we wouldn't win, but it will be in doubt with 5 to go.
Tigers sloppy. Will never hold this kind of lead. Been following too long.
Taz put back 34-19. Steal by Temple
accrobatic, spinning, reverse layup off the glass was Hawthorne's comment on Temple's last shot - doesn't sound good.
Hawthorne's excited tonight - gotta be a 'W'
How can you get this thin in the front court and the QB position in back to back seasons.
