okay....I said I was done but dammit, you gotta read bud...don't just read one post, read the whole thread....Saban has a proven resume at schools other than Alabama....he was pretty good at LSU and Michigan State before them....yeah, he was barely over 500 last year and now he's about to get to the BCS Championship, or at the very least, a BCS bowl game...doesnt that kind of prove my point? Yeah, I thought so, too.
well, I got to get....430am comes early, hence the 430 part. Been fun guys....better TCB if you wanna play on 1/1/09...

parole tide, now that's funny....I would say the same for LSU in recent years, but they got rid of the thug....Parole Loux...sorry to steal your thunder on that one, but thats good stuff...top notch, top notch.
okay, I said I was done but I am not done...MEANIE? is that the best you have? I sat behind a kid whose dad, an LSU fan, told me was 5 at the game last week....he called me a poser because I was wearing an Alabama sweatshirt...man, you got outdone by a five yr old...meanie? come on man.
the ringing probably comes from alcohol poisoning.
okay, for the mouth-breathing illiterata in the room (see dumbass) read what I posted:

I would put Les Miles ahead of Urban Meyer...both good coaches, but somethings missing in Meyer...and I wouldn't put Saban that far ahead of either mostly bc I am an Alabama fan...I guess my question is kissed....I don't watch that much LSU football, because hey guys, guess what, Alabama fans tend to watch the Tide rather than watching LSU, so I really was asking how much Miles is to blame for the losses....."

if you look hard, you will see the part that doesn't include bashing Miles...as an Alabama fan, I kind of have a duty to think Saban is better, that's how it works. Kind of makes you a pussy to pull out the insults when I say something you disagree with, rather than arguing for your team....to just say "duh....huh huh...douche..." kind of makes you a pussy, and a douche, so hey, why don't you go put yourself inside yourself and squeeze. I'm done here, have a nice time at the Outback Bowl
read my post....I DID ASK. Read the thread from the start....
first, screw saban? I will leave that thought to LSU fans, sorry I dig chicks, man....second, I would rather get the vise grips out of the old tool box and pull off my toenails than watch that movie, sorry....would rather watch paint dry.

never saw the movie, don't care to see anything to do with nascar and that includes SNL hacks in movies about nascar....dare I say its just not cereberal enough?
first, I'm no retard...won't get into a pissing contest you can't win so I will leave that alone...second, I am posing a reasonable question....you can read, can't you?
confused by my tactics? what tactics? Just posting a reasonable question....there was a time when Mike Shula was a strong coach too...I think thats comparing apples to walnuts here but I think its reasonable to say that Miles inherited alot of talent hes a great recruiter and college players thrive on emotion...Saban and Spurrier use that but failed miserably in the pros because you get to a point where emotion equates to smoke and mirrors...
Ball State is another good example...let's fix the posers like Hawaii from last year and play the mid majors every year even if the SEC has to travel....lets be fair here.
Okay, again from an Alabama fan, and by the way I really enjoy the board and respect the LSU fans for what that is worth coming from a Tide fan, anyway off topic...we love Saban and I get that most of you hate him...that said, is Les Miles really the messiah of SEC football coaches? Again, he's a really strong coach, but how much, honestly, of this season is due to coaching? I would say a good bit...now go ahead and bash me and explain why I am wrong. Again, much respect...hate the game, not the poster.

I never said it would be more important than a conference game, my point was that you would get battle tested early and when you see your first big game your new QB doesn't blow it because he is a deer in the headlights....your beloved Tigers lost to Florida, Georgia and Alabama because of your QB and while he won't be inexperienced forever there could easily be somebody else that will need the reps against real talent rather than throwing 4 tds against Tulane or Troy.
I think a HAH with Oklahoma or Texas for any SEC school would be a good idea. Alabama isn't any better on a consistent basis in who they schedule for non-conf. Why give small schools the big payday and why not GO ON THE ROAD AND BE TESTED early? I just read recently that Georgia will open their home season in 2010 against UL Lafayette...for what, to pound on somebody who walks away with fat pockets?

That's my point....do you think the Big Ten gets ESPN every damn Saturday because they are so good? NO, they get it because they are a major conference with a long history where the top teams play big non conferene H-A-H series consistently....Ohio State plays Texas, Michigan plays USC and Michigan State plays Notre Dame almost every year, if not every year. The SEC could do better and make even more money with regular, consistent games against major conferences. Early season exposure wont hurt either.
Just show up more than UL Lafayette will the following or LSU could look really bad,

You don't see alot of home-at-home series anymore but that would help generate publicity both in the SEC and other BCS conferences...I would love to see the SEC partner with the Big Ten or Big 12 in particular...what about having Michigan at LSU or Alabama at Ohio State, or something like that on a regular basis,

Okay, get your grain of salt ready because this comes from an Alabama fan, but to play the likes of Troy and Southwest Junior Mississipi State Community College for your non conference schedule doesn't help. Play a Big Ten, Big 12 or Big East team every year...the ACC is pretty good too. The Sun Belt and WAC don't do anything for your BCS rating or give you a real test before conference schedule time.
I get the obsession thing, don't get me wrong, but I think "contempt" is a bit overboard...there's a huge difference between loyalty and pride...that and my ticket guy had to tend to a family matter -- his sister's wedding and in that case, I would agree with him regardless of who LSU or Alabama was playing...family comes first every time. And before you say what an idiot his sister is for picking a fall Saturday for her wedding, her then fiance' now husband was deploying to Iraq this week, so again, maybe, just maybe, contempt is a bit strong, maybe overzealous, or maybe ignorant...I don't wanna say that its just football, but hey, it's just football.
