face it... this program just isnt that good without help from others. last year, this team could have easily lost to auburn, florida, and bama. some good fortune and quite a bit of luck was on their side as most years, the hat's play calling would have been costly. lsu should not have even been in the nc game in 2007. really now... who loses their last regular season game, squeakes by in the sec championship, jumps a better team in georgia (who had not lost since october), and plays for the nc with two losses against a poor osu team??? truth is that most all the success over the past few years has been due largely to other teams i.e. bama, being down due to probation and coaching changes. prior to the arrival of saban, lsu had 7 losing seasons in 8 years and was most always an after thought and rarely a factor on the national scene. something tells me that those times arent too far away as history has a way of repeating itself.
