I am giving coach TJ the benefit of the doubt. Your explanation about 2010 makes sense. I hope he doesn't miss out on a solid 2009 player just because he wants to wait. It looks like he'll have room for at least 3 more in 2010. My guess is that he is shooting for Derenbecker, Galloway, and a third player. I read they are recruiting the Turner kid from Alabama, who compares himself to Marcus Thornton. They are also in on Brian Williams. Is LSU putting Williams on the backburner? How good is TJ/staff at recruiting? I know Keith Richard was a good recruiter at La. Tech.

Thanks for the info Bubba Hotep. It seems like the guy would at least be on the rivals database with his stats. There is a lot of scuttlebutt on how many, if any, players LSU will offer in the spring period. I think TJ wants to sign at least 4 next year, maybe 5. As it stands now, we have 10 on scholarship next season including the two freshman. Everyone they sign from this point forward reduces the number of scholarships he can give next season. That of course assumes that Garret Green will recover from his back surgery and we don't have any attrition. Trent's track record indicates he doesn't lose many, if any, players to transfer.
