Thanks for responding in all caps smartasses ;)

Thanks. Hopefully they will actually open tomorrow. I passed by a while ago and they had 4/20 as the open date and then I heard 2 weeks but I figured with all the knowledgable people on here someone would know (or at least pretend to).

I know this is an old thread but I've been a few times now and now I feel like I can talk about it. There are a few things I REALLY enjoyed, the rest was just ok.

The spicy tuna roll is excellent - mainly because of the quality of fish like everyone else has said, but its just the right amount of spicy.

The baby octopus salad is probably my favorite dish I've ever had at a sushi restaurant. It's completely cooked in some kind of soy sauce/sesame oil concoction and then cooled down and served. If you are a texture person however, this may not be for you because it is weird in that sense. That being said, I did get my sister (who is the pickiest eater in the world) to try it and she LOVED it.

Lastly the Valentine's Day roll is like dessert...it combines fruit and shrimp with a nice sweet sauce on top, which is a little weird but at the end of the meal, it is truly delicious.

Other than that, my suggestion is to do the variety plate when you go. You can get half of any 3 sushi rolls on the menu for half of the price of each roll and it allows you to try everything you want without spending tons of money.

Overall, I'd give it a 7/10. I like the fact that a lot of their rolls are inventive but in some of the rolls, they went too far.
I've put capers in it instead of the relish before, definitely delicious. Also I have a recipe that put shredded onion in it which gives it a completely different flavor, but still real good. Egg salad is one of those things that you can play around with and add whatever you have in your kitchen that day IMO.

I agree about the 1st season...it gets off to a bit of a slow start but as you move along into 2 (where I left off, I haven't started 3 yet), it gets better.

That being said, I started renting it from Netflix about a month ago on a friend's suggestion and its definitely entertaining if you like dramatic shows with lots of sex and a little bit of humor thrown in.
Interesting...yeah I hadn't heard they were selling a line under a different name until you mentioned it. I'll have to try it for sure.

Also, I bet the Chimes or the Bulldog has it on draft if you can't find it in stores. Both of them carry Heiner Brau.
Are you talking about Heiner Brau? If so, Whole Foods definitely has it, possibly Matherne's as well.

I've gone a few times, mostly for the happy hour specials with the appetizers and drinks...it is ridiculously overpriced (even during happy hour) for the quality of food offered.

I really wanted to like it because I like the sangria but even that's not good enough to go back.

Keep at least 2 of the screens on ESPNU at all times for those that aren't involved in the auctions, etc...this goes along with what some of the other posters were saying.

Also, make sure there is a women's restroom in the actual exhibition hall...I understand there are significantly more men in attendance but this was a pain especially when there was an announcement coming up.

As for the student attendance issue, I am an LSU student and didn't mind skipping class to go to the Bash. I think if there was a discounted LSU student rate, you would have more students there regardless if it was on a school day.

andygator isn't one of the choices on the website linked above yet...it may be coming out the end of this month?

Just had the pineapple and cilantro one the other day...sounds weird but was absolutely amazing!
Thanks so much for your help! We came for the SECCG in 2005 and were underage so I was clueless when we were thinking about where to go this time...I'm sure we'll see you at Sidebar before the game!
Any suggestions other than Sidebar and Max Lager's about where to go after the game? Little or no cover if possible...

I've never eaten at the place that's taking the old Lone Star location on Acadian, but how will that stack up as well?

If its still Coyote Blues taking over that spot, I've been to the one in Lafayette and the food is very good, reasonably priced (the only things more than $20 on the menu are fajitas for 2), and you are given VERY generous portions.

The only restaurant somewhat like it in BR is Mestizo's but Coyote Blues has more variety to their menu.

I dare say no one can compare with Superior Grill's margarita. It can be consumed in New Orleans, Baton Rouge or Shreveport. A grown man cannot drink two of them and stand up straight.

Their margaritas are pretty good but I'm pretty sure they used to be stronger...La Carreta's are also good but I don't think I've ever really had a margarita in Louisiana that was really GREAT.

Agreed although the pecan ale is a close 2nd.We like to say it tastes like Christmas trees because its sooo bitter. I know thats not the most articulate critique in the world but I think its rather accurate if you have ever tried it...
