ADX Florence was $60 million in the mid 90s. That would probably be close to $152 million in today’s dollars. But:

That’s the most expensive federal prison by far. And it probably has 150 or so more beds than Alcatraz had.
The operational costs were the killer before. Roughly 3x more expensive than other prisons.
I think if we’re in need of another federal prison, there are probably better places for it.

But I’m not sure we are in need of another prison. The population at ADX Florence is well below capacity.

I’ve noticed various things. At times it appears the craft is venting something. Doesn’t seem to concern anyone enough on the stream to mention it though!

There are two. You can find the other one on the NASA account.
The extended eligibility is thing that bugs me, though I think the worst of that is done now, right?

The interesting thing about the kids who transfer tons of times is it seems they’re not always or even usually stars.

I saw Devin Askew pop up in the tourney. And I thought he looked familiar but had to look him up:

Kentucky (2020–2021)
Texas (2021–2022)
California (2022–2024)
Long Beach State (2024–2025)
Villanova (2025–2026)

Only a couple of good years in there. If you’re Kentucky or Texas, you wanted the guy to move on. Sounds like this EO targets the teams players transfer *to* though. And that tracks the fan frustration that teams are bidding for free agents.

But especially in basketball, coaches have to love when a kid who doesn’t produce becomes another coach’s problem.

It won’t be hard to find a judge to trash this because there’s no authority to do it.

Which is a shame in a way, because as far as proposals to address concerns, this isn’t a bad place to start.

I actually do think Congress will get involved. When it does, I do hope it sticks with some basic simplicity. While I could think of ways this EO could be unfair, exceptions and nuance are going to create a lot of problems too.

Hurley is a massive prick and acts like a child. But the guy can coach. Michigan is going to earn this thing if they win it.
Yeah, I get the skepticism to some extent too. But deniers end up not believing it for reasons that are crazier than accepting that it just happened.
Money was a big part of it. But the direct reason is our moon rocket worked and theirs didn’t:

It’s why I hate this. Free tickets to something is one thing. But you want people to comply with legal notices from the state, not ignore them.
Should have called a timeout there though. That wasn’t a good look.
Yeah UCLA is good. But the Texas players are going to be kicking themselves.
And some bad bad offense. i don’t know if Texas could score 10 more points if there were still two full quarters left.
Officials have let all these teams tonight play too physical. It’s fairly called. No one is getting shafted. Just hard to watch.
It’s worse than the score looks.
Both UConn coaches are spoiled kids
Looks like we’ll orbit the moon (again) before aggy gets to the final four.
Gold flow daily sounds like clickbait ai bs. And the ads served up were hilarious.

Either someone wrote this in another language and used a translator to translate it to English or they should have done that, instead of shooting for English first.
Maybe it reflects everyone understanding how hard winning out in the tournament is. 1 and done in college basketball is rough. The game itself isn’t as fluky or random as baseball can be. But it’s tough to play 5-6 straight games at a high level, especially against increasingly tougher competition. Hell, Florida this year was a great team on a roll and didn’t get close.
