I am getting tired of Starbucks&CC's...what else is out there?

Cafe Rani...great mushroom burger, salads, quesadillas, sandwiches. Kind of a chic place, but really good food.

Cafe ameila on Royal st...great food and drinks. They have homemade blueberry ice tea and you can sit outside in a garden with a fountain to eat. Very romantic!

I just drove by and saw the sign. I am so pumped about the bloody mary I am going to have with my usual...eggs benedict tomorrow! shite maybe I will go tonight.

Papi's Fajita Factory in Denham Springs is real nice, and then take your date down to this great coffee house called Charlotte's across from Back Yard burger.

I find 8.99 for bacon, eggs, a biscuit and potatoes to be very reasonable. I mean raising cane's cost that much for to go fried chicken...i also find 16.99 for a 10 oz center cut sirlon to be reasonable...i think portobellos, Outback etc. charges $25 for the same thing. I do think their omeletts are over priced, but I also think that their portions are huge and I end up sharing food alot at ABEC.
I was wondering if your kid was in a car seat? Just asking because I have had the same problem with getting a table when I have my infant with me. It's not that they are skipping you because of having a kid...they told me that they were trying to find a spot where the infant wouldn't be in the isle. They are always so busy the girls are usually worried about someone knocking the infant over in the carrier. Just a little FYI.

Where to bring dad at 10:00 am on Father's day for brunch in Baton Roueg? We don't mind waiting.

Well its been a while since I had been Another Broken Egg Cafe. I quit going when they moved over to Jefferson/Old Hammond area because its too far from my house. We decided to go today and I had a rack of ribs and they were fantastic! My waitress said they just put them on the menu since they are open for dinner. My wife had the chicken and waffles!!! Who knew they had all this! I will be going back even if I have to drive a little more than I want to.

I used to work in the restaurant industry. There are a few things you should know:

1) Don't ever feel bad about requesting a new server, it's your money, and the owner of the restaurant probably wants you to be happy if they value your business.

2) I worked in the restaurant business for 15 years, and very very few people will mess with your food...you have to remember servers eat out too and they know what goes around comes around. I have only known of one person ever to do put something in someones food and it was actually at Starbucks I was a customer and I watched the guy put a pubic hair in another guys drink...we all went to school together and he hated the dude in the drive up window.

3)If you have eaten there before and you know some of the other servers or you recognise one that usually gives good service point to them and ask for their section. The hostess,manager, or server that is seating you will be more than happy to accomidate you in most cases.
