There are people here with connections AND the people in power regularly read TD to keep a pulse on what’s happening in the rumor mill. It’s crazy but it’s true.
There are a few usernames I see over and over who share insider scoop. Some of it pans out and they look like they know what’s happening. Sometimes it doesn’t pan out but I know it was the plan for a moment so even if they look like they don’t know…they did. TD likely has some staffers or insiders who share info, too, though I can’t be sure.

He wants to. When he left McNeese for NC State LSU was at play. Woodward and Verge drug their feet and NC State happened instead. Rousse, Schroyer and Will Wade are very, very close. Talk every other day. The plan has always been to get the 3 of them to LSU.

Wade doesn’t care about the money. If Schroyer and Rousse are at LSU and Verge isn’t, he’ll come back happily. Wade won’t work with Verge.

But Jeff has said under no circumstance will he get a new contract. BoS likes Verge. So, this is going to get messy, I’m sure.
I suspect after a quality football coach is hired we learn more about Title IX infraction or some other scandal that precludes Verge from getting permanent permanent title.

Hmm. Almost like someone else has his AD support and he doesn’t want to alienate Jeff (who doesn’t like Verge) BUT ALSO needs to quiet public backlash and have the athletic department seem stable.
Just a hunch. ;)

Decision to remove interim tag was made by BoS that have no business making athletic decisions because they don’t know what they’re doing. Leveraged votes to get Rousse to agree to removal. Verge leaked removal to media.
Rousse didn’t trust him BEFORE and now definitely doesn’t...his time is limited.

Verge leaked the removal to the media to (try to) force Rousse’s hand. Rousse didn’t want Verge. Doesn’t trust him. Board members leveraged votes to remove interim title. Agreement was no contract or raise. Just remove title.
Yes Rousse knows about Title IX stuff. But you can’t say “I think it’s outrageous and he’s corrupt and I hate the mfer” to media. Btw Gov hates Verge. Was pissed about title removal.
