The GEAUXT has landed

Although I am fired up LSU officially has Coach Kiffin (Lane, lets grab lunch), I am equally pumped on the sense of camaraderie and brotherhood TigerDroppings has created over flight tracking. I have loved aircraft for as long as I can remember and I stay dialed in whether a coaching search is happening or not. I had my doubts about being here just to publicly weaponize my private aviation fascinations, but for LSU to get Mr. Kiff, I was all in.

Meeting some of you at the BTR tarmac capped it off. When you are shoulder to shoulder with someone watching a plane and you both get the same rush, it euphoric. That is the thrill I live for.

There is something about standing next to another person who is staring at the same plane thinking the same thing. It forges a kinship that feels ancient and prewritten, as if every chapter you never lived together still happened and your paths were aligned long before you ever looked up at the same fuselage.

If you need me, you know where I will be, rooting for Lane, watching the sky and waiting for the next blip on the screen that could get my new TigerDroppings family buzzing again.

Love,

I am going to form tackle lane and give him a big hug!!
Wheels up shortly. Who’s going to welcome him at BTR?
Nothing in the air from Oxford to br rn.

It’s owned by some random hype beast. He’s likely chartering it out. Tracking it is largely blocked publicly so it is a good plane to charter discretely tbh.

Came straight from Oxford.
MMR plane spent 3.5 hours in Nashville today and is about to land back at BTR. It was originally supposed to leave Nashville later tonight but came in early. Curious what people think about that.

A NetJets plane is taking off from Memphis shortly with destination set to BTR. Could this be Sexton (lanes agent who lives in Memphis) coming in?

Scheduled to leave Oxford this morning and fly to the lakefront, then bop over from the lakefront to Hammond
Shane Guidry, a big donor to Jeff Landry, has a big fishing team.

A CJ3 also flew from Oxford to KNEW this morning
I was pissed I couldn't see them
Agree - this is a PR stunt to get Ole Miss to pay Lane more
I just bought a tent from Academy and will be camping at BTR airport until i see Lane Kiffin.

Shortly after noon, I arrived at the Baton Rouge airport to see whether I could gather any firsthand information about the rumored “Lane Kiffin flight” headed into town.

After about fifteen minutes of waiting, the flight that everyone had been tracking finally landed. I watched it taxi over to the MMR hangar, where a carpet had already been laid out. From there, I saw—now confirmed—Layla Kiffin, Landry Kiffin, and Knox Kiffin exit the plane. I couldn’t definitively tell whether Lane Kiffin himself was traveling with them, but I did note a tall man in a white hat who stepped off the aircraft ten minutes after the family.

re: As I said. Kiffin it is.

If i was Lane and got picked up on a Challenger id be kinda bummed tbh. I am more of a bombardier guy
I'm skeptical of this move. When LSU flew in B. Kelly for his announcement, they did so on a Gulfstream owned by the Chouest family which could not be tracked and also wasn't based in Baton Rouge. Strange that the family came in one one of the MMR planes that can be very clearly tracked.
