My attempt at humor. Yes, he’s too old.
Potential HC Candidate - Hear Me Out

Barry Switzer!
RESUME:
-Won a National Championship
-Coached in the NFL and won a Super Bowl
-Hell of a recruiter
-While he lacks experience in the NIL/Portal era, I believe his experience with the 70's/80's era of under the table cash and cars as recruiting incentives will transfer over to this era. He needs a good College GM though.
-I always thought he was a prick, but the Dallas Cowboys Netflix Documentary really changed my mind. He has an "EDGE" and his players loved him.
-He's a "cultural fit"
-He's been "retired" so there's no need to pay another school a buyout to get him to Baton Rouge. More money for assistants and NIL!
-Sure he is a little old at 88, but I don't think the game has passed him by. You pair him with a young, dynamic OC that he can hand the reins over to in 4 years.
First time poster here, been lurking for roughly a week. I live in Boise, Idaho and had a chance to go to Baton Rouge and attend the South Carolina game this year. I'm not a Boise State fan (attended University of Idaho), and prior to the LSU-SC game, I had never been to a big-time college football venue. I knew it would be amazing, but it literally blew my mind.
The hospitality and good vibes you all showed my wife and I was amazing! It definitely set the hook, and I will be back (hopefully every other year).
And finding Tiger Droppings has been fascinating too. I love learning about the history and intricacies of LSU Football. It's wild to me that the governor of Louisiana is so involved in the hiring/firing. I'd never heard of Tommy Moffitt until now, but I'm genuinely curious to see if LSU tries to bring him back. I didn't know what the term honey pot was until two days ago! Thank you for enlightening me to things that I had no idea about.
And a sincere thank you to everyone we met at Tiger Stadium! I'd heard you were welcoming and friendly, but it seriously blew me away. Saturdays in Baton Rouge are truly special!
Go Vandals!! Geaux Tigers!!
