re: Has anyone suggested Art Briles yet?

Thanks for sharing. It’s amazing to me no one does real homework and goes with top line headlines. His son is also going to be a great Coach, but Art was/is a genius. If anyone searches “football player arrests” for just about any team, unfortunately there is a lot there. Additionally I was surprised to see the events were even higher on campus years after Briles was no longer there in 2022’ there were 22 filings. In 2015 at the peak of another wave of campus issues 23 campus wide with 0 player convictions. Briles deserves another chance and the true story needs to come out. Kendal will get his chance. Briles & Bennett (Def Coordinator) is a great combo. LSU could lead these efforts, very low risk (they can demand terms and no buyouts, low salary, create the model program of No Tolerance), High Returns. After he gets them winning they will want to secure with a long term contract. But for now, Low Risk / High Returns.

I have. Briles was framed by Baylor, signed a CA/ND (5 year non disparaging) to take the fall was “damned if you do or don’t; $15M or $0”, Baylor Regents in lieu of being sued hired PR Firm and Law Firm (law firm hired Philly PR Firm) to smear his name, conjure up whatever they could find. He was exonerated by NCAA. There were 3 dirtbag players who were on the Team(s) over the years. It was a campus wide issue and the reports back this up. In fact peak issues occurred well past his tenure 21-22. LSU would be wise to hire him, use it as a model for the nation to have a No Tolerance Policy. If one googles “LSU Campus Arrests involving Football Players” it’s full of homicides, murders, domestic violence, sexual assaults year after year. Lacy, Gilbert, Guice, Jennings, etc etc.
KK is a great OC but not HC. Similar to Norv Turner. Know your role, if he is among the best at OC’s and average or less than at HC (record proves this at Tech and Arizona). He should stick with what he is excellent at running offenses, spotting and developing QB’s. LSU Sumrall would be a solid bet, Art Briles (exonerated and paid $15M by Baylor to take the fall and sign non disclosure) would bring a few Championships on the cheap as he loves the game. They could probably pay him $1M or $2M year and no guarantees and he would do it to Coach again.
