My First LSU game

Posted by Mike Dillard on 10/27/25 at 11:27 am
I posted on here two weeks ago that some friends and I were coming into town for our first game since my son started dental school at LSU last year. 2 of them are high school football coaches. This community was awesome and gave us some amazing things to do in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. In that post, one of the members of this community asked me to come back here and post after the game my experience.

I met Tim on this board who was first class all the way. He introduced me to Mike who was also first class. Everyone at the game made us feel more than welcome and really helped us have an unbelievable experience. I know the game wasn’t the outcome we wanted, however up until the second half it was just absolutely amazing from the moment we landed in New Orleans. We all have stories for years and plan on getting to another game in the future.

Thank you everyone for ur hospitality & kindness. We didn’t encounter one person who wasn’t passionate about LSU football.

In other news, I’m an ASU fan since birth & hopefully Dillingham doesn’t leave to take ur job. If he does, ur getting one hell of a coach.
Thanks, this is great. Much appreciated. We are juiced for this trip & to catch our 1st SEC game at LSU. Looks like we couldn't have picked a better matchup.
We are down in the Dirty T (Tucson, AZ). One of them just retired last year after going 14-0 and winning the state championship in 4A at Mica Mountain High School. The other one is currently the OC at Sunnyside High School (5A). He's catching a redeye Friday night after his game to join us for the festivities.
haha....sure. I've heard the environment is wild & I got a good laugh as I saw right after I posted this that one of the first topics I saw is "fix game day crime now". Makes it even more fascinating & exciting to get out there.

Hello Tiger Fans,
My son is in his 2nd year of dental school at LSU. Some of my friends from Arizona & myself (5 in total) are coming out to the A&M game. It's all of our first games ever in Baton Rouge. A few of them are high school football coaches.

We have our tickets but want to get the full experience with LSU tailgating. Any suggestions on where to go would be fantastic and very helpful. I looked online to buy some pre-arranged tailgating tickets & it seems everything is sold out.

Thanks in advance for any help. Looking forward to this game & experience.
