This is Jakes Dad. Just want to thank yall for the support and kind words. He is working hard everyday in the classroom, (4.03 GPA) and running track, and trains 4 nights a week. He is growing! He should hit 5'11" and hopefully be 190lbs by the time the season starts. I'm shocked how his story has spread out to so many people. I'm also humbled by the support he receives from people he has never met. Yes, he bleeds purple and gold. I always told him to chase his dream and one day, he can share his story and journey with many kids who have the same dreams. All his mom and I did was try to put him where he has a better chance, even if it is a slim chance. But I also told him to never have regrets!
He knows it is a long shot to get to LSU, but he will continue to work his butt off until he has to decide where he will go to college. He just got his first offer on Monday. So the process has begun.
Again, thank you all for the love and support!
