It won’t happen, but a commitment needs to be made to men’s basketball to leave the cellar

To exit the doldrums, a true commitment to the infrastructure of the basketball program needs to be made similar to what Saban did to jumpstart the renaissance of the football program in 2000. At a minimum, that means a new arena.
Take away the Baton Rouge kids from 04-06 and Will Wade paying players from his checking account, it’s been unpleasant the last 20 years.
Hopefully the historic success by the rest of the conference this season gives us a spark and some inspiration.
March with LSU in the dance is much better than without.

Look at the pmac, it’s a dump compared to the rest of the conference. The talent gap is similar to the facility gap.
It’s clear where the athletic department views basketball relative to football and baseball. Until they want to get serious about competing, this will be the product.
