You don't get it. Kelly has a history of ruining QB's. Every QB under Kelly's coaching has regressed year to year. MVB looks good now, but as he continues to be coached by Kelly he'll get worse not better.

Us ND fans told you what you were getting with BK and you laughed at us. Enjoy your plate of crow served cold.

Don't tell me Freeman hasn't done anything Kelly didn't do while at ND. Freeman won 2 major bowl games, and has yet to have a blow out loss. Kelly never won a major bowl game at ND and he was blown out consistently by equivalent or more talented teams Plus Freeman's recruiting far better than Kelly ever did.
Kelly isn't vindicated, and the only reason there's any hatred toward Kelly is due to Kelly opening his mouth about ND after he left. He's a sleezeball and most of your fan base hasn't come to that realization yet. Most of the ND fanbase is extremely happy he left

Marcus Freeman accomplished much more in 3 years than Kelly did in 12. He beat several top 10 teams, won 2 major bowl games, and didn't get blown out/embarrassed in the championship game.

Go look back and show me how many NY6 bowl games Kelly has won. I'll save you the time ZERO!

Thank your AD for taking him off our hands and paying him an ungodly amount of money for never winning anything of importance.

I'll visit this forum in a couple of years and check in on what you think of Kelly. Maybe by then you'll realize he's a 9-10 win coach, but he can't win the BIG GAMES! ENJOY!

You may believe what you wrote, but the truth is Kelly is not a better coach than Freeman. In 12 years at ND, Kelly never won a major bowl game, his record against the top 5 and top 10 was abysmal. Freeman in year 3 has 2 major bowl wins (Sugar and Orange), has beaten 3 top 10 teams, the SEC champion, and BIG10 runner up. Freeman has accomplished this with a decimated DL and OL, as well missing one of their starting DB's. He's pretty much done this with a 2nd and third string DL and OL.

Most of the ND fanbase appreciates what Kelly did in bringing ND back to a point where they were a top 10 program, however what he said after his departure soured any good will.

Finally most of the ND fanbase isn't bitter about Kelly leaving, in fact we are thankful LSU took Kelly from us. He'll be good for 10 win seasons most years and a playoff spot, but he's like James Franklin where he just can't win the big games. He won't win a championship at LSU or anywhere for that matter. He's not elite, he's just very good.
