Rabies quarantine. 10 day hold required to monitor for signs of Rabies after biting a person. Not the only way they can evaluate for Rabies…
I would absolutely be supportive of him. Perhaps if he had more skin in the game he would find more success in future endeavors. The most accomplished people I know didn’t get to where they are due to a favor called in by someone else. Sometimes hard knocks and bumps in the road are the best teacher. Best of luck to him.

If property managers of rental properties really wanted to stop allowing certain breeds they need to require DNA testing. Breed identification isn’t very expensive and all it takes is a cheek swab collected by the owner in front of and sent out by management. A common work around is to identify as “lab mix” when checking in to a vets office so they have medical records to prove it. It’s unfortunate but most vets don’t have/take the time or energy to argue over it by changing to appropriate breed.
They have a similar personality to a mature calm golden retriever. Very sweet, calm, loving and all around great family dogs. Unfortunately like many purebred dogs they can develop hereditary health issues associated with the breed. Most common being heart murmurs due to mitral valve disease at a young age. Recommend reviewing as much medical history as possible from parents and grandparents.
