re: Stop watching the game

I didn’t watch the todays games because of that

Losing parents is such an understated event. Hard to explain to people who haven’t experienced it. It’s so easy to take a “full life” perspective that blunts the impact, especially if they were indeed at the end of one. What I didn’t anticipate, though, was the sense of having no “go to” resource anymore for things like family history, wisdom, etc. You will never get to ask another question, and you are now the one that your family looks to for that. You’re it. No safety net. Maybe that’s just me.

Makes me try to be a better parent for sure. Some people have parents that you can’t even do what you mentioned when they are living.

The rule isn’t highest ranked G5. It’s the top 5 ranked conference winners, where normally the 5th would be the best G5 winner. ACC sucked so bad that another G5 had a better rank than ACC winner. The rule makes no mention of G5.

I was mistaking for the highest 4 conference champs and a G5 auto bid. Thanks

The committee didn't choose to put JMU in. They had to by default because of a stupid rule they put in place trying to protect the P4 conferences. They just didn't predict the ACC fricking it up so badly.

Why did they have to? They satisfied the rule by putting Tulane in which is the highest ranked G5 team. Tulane can serve dual purpose (Also conference Champ requirement)
Just field non-NIL players and compete to represent the Universities like back in the day :dunno:
I like watching college football

I agree, looking forward to watching the game

Hell yeah it’s legal. If they are behind the LOS, lay their arse out.

You all correct me but I thought they had 5 yards beyond the LOS they can put their hands on them.
Say what you will this has been very entertaining. That’s what they want and at the end the champion is undoubtedly the National champion.
I just liked watching them boo the commissioner

re: Bama out; texas in

I think Texas is in with OSU win and Duke win. If Virginia wins Texas is out. No way they put Miami over the ACC champ.

Well one had their extra loss in the conference championship game

Why can BYU presumably drop out but not Bama? Same thing

re: Texas should be in Playoff

I can see the committee dropping Ole Miss due to staff changes and they may consider them to not be the same team. BYU will drop to texas tech. I think the ACC gets left out since Duke is in their championship game.
Like it or not Texas means big bucks for them to be in the playoffs and schedule the types of games they do offseason. Who’s taking that risk for not much reward of winning?
So yes Texas will be in if you ask me (they will do some mental gymnastics but they will land it).
Personally I would leave us out but how can you pass up a possibility of Texas playing in Norman or having a playoff game with TAMU in college station be a possibility as well.

Strategically there are two trains of thought.
1. Play it at the beginning of the season to get better in game practice before the tougher games
2. Play it at the end in case you drop a tougher game. Early losses are always better than late losses. Use the easy games more like a by week if needed to rest and fine tune some things.

Yes we won against Kentucky and Mississippi State and lost to Florida. We also beat Vandy and some others.

I think the problem Sark has had at Texas this year is the offensive line never panned out for him. Seems like I remember hearing that Texas spent a lot bringing in portal players on the line this year and they just never have put it together. That is a problem around college football this season though. I have not seen a great line this year in college football.

I think the reason for this is he is just looking for “big humans” as he calls them. What you can see this season is they don’t evaluate technique very good as is evident by the number of penalties they get. Sark and his staff need to make sure they are not just big but can actually play football correctly. I’m ready fo the Sarknado show to be over but it looks like theres always another year of it.

Y'all keep going back to that every time a non SEC team is talked about yet mighty BAMA got wrecked by the team in 15th place in the ACC

It’s just you all don’t understand how much of a grind being in the SEC… You know if you all would actually be in the SEC everyone would be saying how you haven’t played the actual good teams in the SEC and that they gifted you a schedule lol. If you can’t tell what I’m saying is that the SEC is a bunch of hype since even when your in it you haven’t played the “good” teams unless of course you loose then even the “easy” teams are tough :rotflmao:
Isn’t Gus working at FSU? How is that going? If it was going good I would have said they fired him to hastily but it doesn’t look like it.
 what about the opposite? Where Okla hosts Texas if they squeak in?
Cook and Gibson are the first to come to mind but I know there were a couple others.

Not going to speculate. I wanted him gone, but not like this. I wanted it to be his decision. Sucks for him. Demons can be a bitch and he seems to have a lot of those.

Something is definitely going on in the program. It has been odd to me so many players have jumped ship mid season spanning multiple seasons. At least thats what it seemed to me. I don’t hear that from other programs.
How bad is Aggie security if they let you waltz in to restricted areas, oh wait wasn’t there a piece on a guy that made it all the way to the locker room fooling Aggies. If they weren’t supposed to be there don’t let them in there, plain and simple.
