The Tigers where playing tulane in TIGER STADIUM '87. We're sitting in the south endzone behind MIKE'S trailer about 25 rows up. At that time tulane"s mascot was dressed exactly like the cartoon character gumdy with some green and white fluff on its head, gaint feet and he walked liked he had swimming flippers on, strane looking creature. MIKE was laying down on the south endzone side of his trailer, his head was laying on his folded paws, facing west. gumby was standing on the sidline about the thirty five yard line. he got the idea that he would tuant MIKE, I guess he thought he could get away with it since Mike was in his trailer. he took some steps towards MIKE . When gumby got to about the twenty yard line MIKE picked his head up, looking at this idiot. gumby then took real big steps and waving his arms towards MIKE. In a split second MIKE lets out a huge roar and lunges to the other side of his trailer hitting the trailer wall so hard that I thought the trailer was going land on its side, that trailer was rocking big time. gumby sees this, thinks that MIKE is coming through the trailer after his green arse does a 90 and decides to run away. In the panic he forgot about his big feet and fell flat on his face. he was trying to get away so bad that he was even to swimming on the grass. What a tool. Man was I ever proud of MIKE THE TIGER.
