Thanks for all the replies. I’m glad we circled this game and made it out to Death Valley for this one. We had an awesome time. A lot of people gave me a shout out for wearing my Rutgers jersey and hat. I told a few I was driving south on the NJ Turnpike and next thing I somehow ended up in Baton Rouge. We were invited to a few great tailgates. Then the game was just top notch going ahead near end of Q4 and winning it in overtime!!! Good luck the rest of the way this season…I’ll be following from a distance.
Can we tailgate in the free lots? Can we bring a bbq / charcoal?
Thought I'd post this here as well the Tickets forum, since I'm also looking for parking, but I'm also looking for some LSU football info... Any help or advice is much appreciated.

Any rules I should know about tailgating (what can or can't bring, etc.)?

Any local bars / restaurants that we should check out before or after the game?

I'm looking for a parking pass to the Ole Miss game. Just bought my game day tix, but couldn't get parking from box office although they told me there are some free parking locations and to check the map (I suspect it's hard to get in the free parking areas and that they fill up early). Any help with someone selling at a reasonable price would be much appreciated.

Up front, my brother and I are neutral parties coming to the game. We think this is a great game to come visit and make our yearly sports weekend trip. I'm a Rutgers alumni. and my brother is an ND fan.

Every year he and I get together to do a multi-game sports weekend. We were doing it before the pandemic and restarted the last 2 years. We usually try to target a city area where we can go to a NCAAFB game, an NFL Game, and possibly a MLB, NHL, NBA or NCAABB game.

This year is New Orleans/Baton Rouge...fly in Friday, catch Ole Miss @ LSU game in Baton Rouge (hoping it becomes a night game), then Buccs @ Saints, then fly home on Monday. I already have the Ole Miss @ LSU tix, but need to get parking.

We're also going to the Rutgers @ Va Tech game this year. One RU away game per year...in addition to the Sports Weekend....although sometimes the sports weekend centers around an RU game as well. First year at Michigan we went to that game and then caught a Red Wings game in Detroit.

Last year we went to Clemson game, Carolina Panthers game, UNC Basketball opening day game, and a Carolina Hurricanes game on a Friday to Wednesday, long weekend. Other trips were to Houston to see Astros, drove up to Dallas to see Texas Rangers (last day of season), then Cowboys game.

Thanks in advance!!
