Ucla. Low expectations outside of a fun weekend :)

This is amazing! Thank you!
Thanks! Thinking of doing airbnb instead of hotel. Is there a good part of town to stay in that won't make getting to the game too difficult. Was thinking about the garden district or south highlands maybe...

Coming from Los Angeles. Driving up from New Orleans friday staying through sunday.
Coming in for football with a college buddy. We are 40's and ditching our families for the weekend :)
Any advice on where to stay in BR

Coming in for a game. First time in BR. Planning on doing airbnb or VRBO Looks like there are places downtown, garden district, midtown, a few towards the river near campus and some a little south near highlands. Only there Friday and Saturday. Probably gong to go to a fancy dinner Friday. Looking more for nice places with chill bars and great food (any food recs much appreciated). Thanks!

I was looking the garden district. It looked great. Was just wondering if it was hard to get down to campus on game day.

Need tickets?
Yes, definitely will.

It’s literally one Goddamn road. Sure there will be some traffic. But that doesn’t make it a hard drive. Just more time consuming. And I would be willing to bet someone from L.A., or who has spent any appreciable time in L.A. County, would openly laugh at what we consider to be “heavy” freeway traffic
Thanks! I’m not worrying about traffic. Traffic for us sadly is just a lifestyle choice. Think I will rent a car though. That said i hated LA traffic enough to once move a block from work so I didn’t have to deal with it… until I got a new job.

Compton isn't so bad
Skid row however
Some pretty good restaurants around skid row. Parking is easy bc everyone is terrified about the homeless encampments. Also ironically that area might be still be among the most expensive parts of LA per sq foot.

In New Orleans?
No, there's nothing there to see.
I’ve been to New Orleans a dozen times. Was talking about Baton Rouge.

Legally, I think have to :)
Might be able to give you a more royal blue if that helps.

Just me and a friend. Was thinking an airbnb. Mostly eating and boozing, unless there's stuff I have to see. Thanks!

Hey All!
First time staying in BR, first LSU home game. Would love any and all advice about where to stay, where to eat, what to do, etc.
Planning on flying into Nola on Thursday (flying to BR from LA is brutal) then just taking a bus up to BR Friday, then back out Sunday afternoon (hoping the bus drops me at the airport).
Really appreciate any and all help!
