You are likely taking the club away too much on the outside of the swing plane. In other words, taking the club on the backswing away from your body.

You want the backswing to be more in the “inside”. To do this feel like you are trying to swing the club more around your body rather than away from your body.

This may produce hooks. If so lessen the effect and find the middle ground between away and around your body.

90% of trouble in the swing happens on the backswing(60% of the time)

1. Ball above feet, put the ball out more toward the toe of the club

2. Ball below feet, put the ball in more toward the heel of the club
