I said frick off Sidewalk

I can do the research, I don't care to do so in this case regarding Alabama.

I meant maybe message board posting isn’t for you

But Hell, I’m actually starting to like you
quote:

Now, you get up to areas North of Alexandria LA, you will find folks more similar in family history, ideology, culture and religion, etc as you people over in Alabama, MS, etc.

You could make a good argument to add the Florida Parishes.
quote:

am not from Alabama nor really care to do much economic research on your state. I only responded to a Bama poster trying to be cute with is attack on my state. If you want to provide economic statistics on your state, feel free, as long as it doesn't turn into a pissing match of you bashing Louisiana in it, I have no problem with someone from Alabama defending their state. In fact, I commend a person for doing so (even if it is a state that I am not fond of

You have to be 80 years old

Maybe the internet is not for you.
quote:

Frank I meant out to Saint Tammany parish. I see my typo

I wasn’t laughing at the typo, I’m not Sidewalk Tiger who thinks those are gotcha moments, I was laughing at your weird, insecure need to explain to who exactly, where St Tammany Parish is geographically in regards to New Orleans.

quote:

never said better than anyone. I just made a clear distinction that the world of South Louisiana is not anything like the rest of the historical South that seceded from the Union. So when all these Bama posters bash the state of Louisiana, well then there is indeed something deeper going on in my view. So they bash, I bash back.

Well how about your insecure need to point this out to anonymous strangers on a football message board
quote:

every bit of it while it flew over every single Bama poster's head.

horseshite

That explains the presence of Frank Thomas.

frick off Sidewalk

just moved out the Saint Tammany Parish which is North of Lake Ponchartrain.

The guy thinks giving the board a history lesson on the immigrants to New Orleans, the Catholic League, and South Louisiana in general as an indirect and passive aggressive way of saying “I’m better than you” because we have some different immigrants than other parts of the south is one of the greatest melts of all.
quote:

MetryTyger I think understands where I am coming from. Trust me, it is 100% real. And there are many folks in the areas between New Orleans and Baton Rouge who feel the same way. Now, you get up to areas North of Alexandria LA, you will find folks more similar in family history, ideology, culture and religion, etc as you people over in Alabama, MS, etc.

I know all this, I’m from here, but your weird need to explain this to everyone is in itself a melt
quote:

I take it a found someone who attended the Catholic league schools, Holy Cross, Jesuit, Brother Martin, etc?

If you only knew

New Orleans, a place where you meet someone new and they ask where you went to school they are asking about high school. Also has one of the, if not the worst public school systems in the developed world.

quote:

If your from New Orleans then you know the peoples that founded New Orleans, the immigrants that came there are more similar to the same immigrant groups that went to Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, NYC, and other cities across the Midwest.

And? I mean, it explains some of the different accents. You could make as compelling of an argument that New Orleans is a Caribbean city.

New Orleans has a unique history but let’s be honest, it’s a dying city.

And none of this has a thing to do with the LSU melt

I appreciate you trying to change the topic but distract from the LSU melt but let’s stay on topic.
quote:

my general disdain for everything in the state of Alabama, you can add our neighbors to MS as well.

Classic melt right here. This old geezer is in complete denial about himself
quote:

100% correct and my post wasn't directed at you but since you posted me, let me guess, your ancestors served with the 15th Alabama in the Army of Northern Virginia. Did I get that correct?

Not that I know of you dumb old man

This is the weirdest melt of them all
quote:

my great-great grand daddy served in A.P. Hill' Corp for General Lee's Army of Northern Virginia MS brethren as well.

Didn’t you post some jibberish about your family not coming to the US until the 1890’s you weird old geezer
quote:

YOU thought Bama would never beat UGA, then YOU thought Bama would never make the final four. YOU showed your arse all day Saturday.

Thought this would be about LSU
Finklestein shite Kid

This has been the most impressive LSU melt in years

We all get they want the 4 best teams in. You could make an argument that Oregon or Ohio State is deserving of the final spot. Oregon lost twice to the #2 team by 3 points each game. That sounds extremely even to me. Plus Bo Nix is pretty damn good. Florida State also has a valid argument. Their 3rd string qb won’t be playing in the playoff and their second string qb came back from double digit deficit to win the game when Jordan went down. Alabama is hinging their playoff spot because they beat Georgia. Georgia’s cupcake schedule leaves much to be desired. Georgia’s best win was against Ole Miss, a team that needed a PI no call on the last play of the game to beat LSU at home. Missouri is actually not as good as Ole Miss. And LSU for sure is not a top 10 team with that defense. Overall it was a down year for SEC teams altogether. This may be hard for some of you to believe but I’m actually pulling for Texas or Alabama to win it all. The ONLY reason I’m doing this is because I have close friends that are fans of the schools and at the end of the day your friends and family are all you’ve got so we stick together and celebrate together. Anyhow, here we are with what we have and bama gets the chance to prove themselves yet again so let’s see what happens on the field. If bama loses, then maybe you guys ought to shut up for a while. If you win, then carry on and be your obnoxious hillbilly selves

This is what you call a MOAM - mother of all melts

No one is reading a melt this damn long

Stopped reading right there.
This cry baby LSU melt about Alabama has been much more intense and lasted much longer than I expected.

It’s quite satisfying.

They enjoy it though. No matter how many times they are wrong about Alabama and Saban, like a concussed glass eyed QB, they just come running right back in for one more chance to be wrong

Yeah, but true fans of collegiate athletics (like me) weren’t watching and won’t watch anymore.

That’ll show em tough guy
Simple, he’s been the best receiver in the country for 2 straight years
quote:

Genie is out of the bottle.Bama has made sure that college football in general has zero credibility...it starts with biased officiating and ends with placement into the playoffs.

Melt bitch

Also glad to see the the best receiver in the country get an invite.

He didn’t, but he did coach multiple Rose Bowls and Best Bryant at Alabama.
