The crowd looks great.

I was thinking the same thing. It looked like more people came than last Saturday.

I will reserve my judgement about our pitching staff until SEC play

I pray our lineup figures it out by SEC play.

FIRE JASON JACKSON!

When can we stop blaming the pitching?

14BB and 60K over 43IP
Team ERA of 2.51 & opponents are hitting .222
Agreed

JT did great. Banks was steady Eddie to allow us to walk away with the W. We can’t expect our SP to go and be lights out every start when our lineup is this cold. We only had one hit for what 7 innings? We had bases loaded twice with walks|HBP and didn’t capitalize.

Not having Snell in the lineup hurts.
Are you paying attention to our hitting? Tonight’s game we are going into the 6th with 1 hit. We’ve had the bases loaded twice & we still have a 0 in the run column.
I hope they keep putting Purdy in the lineup. The kid feels like the real deal with a veteran approach during his AB and he smashed during the scrimmages. Other teams will be ready to pounce to get him but if he gets the playing time I can see him buying in like Lebron and Adams.

The jury is still out on some of the transfers. Maybe it’s opening weekend jitters?
It was one game. Myles was fantastic, but throwing him into the Friday role as a freshman after 4 innings is aggressive. Would you keep Adams on Saturday even though he looked great through 5 with 9K and 0 BB? Our bats were flat game 1 and the start of game 2 when Adams was dealing until Vaughn hit the HR so the entire loss can’t be placed solely on the pitchers. Tyler didn’t have his best but he’s been a workhorse and I think he’s going to bounce back.
Anyone at the scrimmages? Thoughts on how the team is looking closer to opening day?

The only win we got against Tennessee was when Zane pitched against Doyle. His rest is even shorter
We have 7 games against Troy, Georgia and Florida left. D1 keeps bringing up the fact that we don’t have a series win (minus Missouri) since OU and the committee will have issue with that. If we can take 2 out of 3 at home and the same in Gainesville it feels possible, but who knows. I wish our mid week games and non conference was discussed more. 4 of our non conference Wins are in the top 25. Our mid weeks aren’t a walk in the park, but it feels like it’s barely brought up by the talking heads.

We should’ve given Vandy’s Sunday Guy his first loss yesterday. I’m still not processing how we lost that game well. Hats off to our starting pitching this weekend. All 3 guys looked good.

Heffner has made it abundantly clear he has zero interest in leaving. People have already offered him more money but he stayed put.

Perhaps Alcock can move back to Fridays. He obviously has talent. He also was good against Missouri.

Alcock didn’t pitch against Missouri. Adams pitched against LSU and got the only W in that series. He also pitched Saturday’s game against Missouri his first complete game. Adams was not taken out of the rotation he was only moved from the Friday slot.

Our only win against Tenn was when Adams started that game in the series against Liam Doyle. I think people seem to have forgottten maybe the coaches too? He also went against OU’s Friday night guy who’s slotted to be a top 10 draft pick and we won that game. 2 rough outings and people can’t remember his name LMFAO
I’m probably wrong. Everything I’m ready is the rotation is staying
My understanding is the rotation is Q, Adams, & Fay. They didn’t want to force Q up by 2 days with the Th, Fri & Sat series in BR. Once they got back to Fri, Sat Sun they’d move them. It will give Fay a few extra days to rest up, and keeps Q and A on schedule?

The guy yesterday for Bama had been abysmal for them.

Who really knows if he’s fully back on track now, but implying he’s abysmal for UA is WILD.

as for Texas, the RPI doesn’t like us..

Is that due to the midweek losses? I’m not trying to be rude, but a genuine question.
Does anyone know more about the injuries around Austin Morris and Moza?
This Freshman lefty is looking good. I’m impressed.
