Because he's been committed since mid-June, and the flip article comes out within 1 day of JT Lindsey's arrest.

Unsurprisingly the person calling strangers on the internet "stupid" has trouble with this leap of thought.

Either the pressure is dialed up (i) because of Lindsey's arrest or (ii) Spiegs is having a slow week.

Love it here

Per Spiegs, LSU is pushing to flip KJ Edwards.

You have to wonder if this is more about the JT Lindsey situation then the '26 recruiting class misses on RB.
Because LSU doesn't recruit any Toby's spelled with an "i"

Appears that Tobi went from LSU lean to A&M lock after his visit per the new Fong CB

2025 class rankings as of 7/24/24

So this grammar means he will be attending a college this week

About that...where is Pete Jenkins?

Maybe. He could also be dyslexic. Never know.

With Cai Bates

12. (+2) LSU - 70% (-4%) in state, 219.7 miles (+20.2 miles)

Would love to see that average go up since Duncanville is over 400 miles away...
Looking at the same data for past years, our best classes were also very "in-state" heavy, save for a a star DB from Florida or Texas (or QB transfer from Ohio...).

LSU is more geographically isolated from major competitors (UGA to Clemson is less than 90 miles and almost every team ahead of LSU has a major competitor in-state or nearby), with Texas A&M being closest to LSU.

It's an advantage to have a stocked backyard with congruent cultures and a shared desire to be there, but it helps to pull stars from out of state as well (Harold Perkins, Patrick Peterson and Dashawn Womack this year). A decent amount of our highest ranked out-of-state recruits have not worked out:
HIGHEST RANKED LSU RECRUITS

I think it's a no-brainer to lock up LA and pluck from out-of-state as you can, which is what the staff is trying to do. Even Alabama cannot survive on Alabama state recruits alone, since they are fending off Auburn (UGA is only 250 miles away).

I have to wonder how this compares to pre-NIL/transfer portal changes though.

I just looked at On3's average distance from school to recruit and there are some interesting results:
ON3 Team Rankings

There are a lot of conclusions to draw from this, but LSU seems to be an outlier.

Prigozhin echoed by Guzenko:

Maybe this is a way to pressure MoD, the truth, or both.

Perhaps the most accurate Milblogger is Prigozhin:

quote:

Prigozhin accuses the Russian MoD of hiding facts about the Ukrainian offensive and Russian losses.

In a 4-minute audio message, Prigozhin declares there are areas where no military reporters are allowed to hide the truth about casualties Russia is taking during the counter-offensive. According to Prigozhin, Ukrainians are aiming to reach Molochny Lyman (likely to cut the Russian Zaporizhzhia group into two).
If things progress the same way, Russians will one day wake up with Crimea being Ukrainian, says Prigozhin.

He once again attacks Shoygu for inactivity and brings up the dead sailors of the Moskva cruiser lost by Russia last spring.
