I'm all for not being a blind optimist... but this seems like blind pessimism.
Let's pray we get the kid from Ohio st
He better figure it out quick. A part of me thinks he has this philosophy because he knows he can always just sign his OL and DL from USF but that won't cut it past this year..... You have to show proof of concept at this level before you can act like Georgia and Ohio St in the portal.
We better get someone committed at OL fast though
Man I'm ecstatic about how bad Bama is doing right now.
Don't worry about it man.... they're the blueprint lol. I'm like can we wait for them to actually win the championship, (AND) make a solid run for a few years before calling them the "Standard" of anything?
If I read one more post about "Indiana" being the standard now, or someone excusing away a portal loss followed by the signing of a lower ranked player with "oh Curt signed 1000 JMU guys  Imma lose my marbles
give up.... they're all pissed at Cam and will spend the next year going on and on about him taking cash even though every last one of them would do the exact same shite for 3-5 million dollars.
Texas A&M wanted this guy..... would be huge.
Yeah, those dudes have shown little interest in Auburn and haven't given me any reason to care. That's why I'm not getting excited or even checking in on anyone NOT visiting us.
We need to pass on Deuce and spend the money we're trying to give him on OL and DL
Now this is what I like to hear. ....

eh nevermind lol
Alabama just lost their starters so I get it. That place is about to go up in flames wether he goes there or not though. I think they'll lose 5 games and replace their Coach next season lol
Mike G uses his heart and not his mind. lol Cam basically wants Jeremiah Smith cash and that's fine. Just be real about it.
That a real number? can't be lol
So quick question... does this only apply to QB? If we sign the CB from Tennessee let's say for 500k.... should Champ Anthony just NOT start over him because he cost us more (even if he outperforms him)? What about receivers? If the kid from Kansas St cost us nearly a million.... should he just get the job over Duke Smith who probably doesn't make half that? Oh, and unlike the NFL college players could jump ship at the end of every season. A player in the NFL can hold out or request a trade..... sure, but these dudes can treat every off-season like a NFL contract year. How successful do you think we'll be at maintaining a roster by just handing the highest priced guys jobs? if competition is a thing of the past because you paid 4 million then we're absolutely finished. Auburn can wipe it's arse with 4 million bucks man.
I wanted both out of highschool, and I'd love to have them now but.. I don't see the point in just randomly getting excited over guys unless a visit has been scheduled. Need to get on the phone for sure though
