I'm sure you'll be changing your tune when you find out how much of a beast SOPHOMORE Chris Wells is
applying my scarlet and gray sunglasses, I actually think this is a little more likely scenario... We are a preseason top five no matter what happens on Jan. 7... When we come out on top this year and win it all next year nobody will be talking about 06, they will be talking about how wrong they were about the Big Ten and the mighty Ohio St. Buckeyes
Michigan historically doesn't pay their coaches as well as other powers.. The problem they run into is that they consider themselves a school of Academics more than a school of Athletics. Paying the coach a huge contract isn't in their agenda
Michigan is a more prestigious job then LSU is... why do you think guys like Urban Meyer, Les Miles, and other coaches have outs in their contracts to coach there?

one thing about Kelly is that he runs a wide open spread offense.. lots of screens and option reads.. Michigan is too stubborn to try something new

I went to the D II school Grand Valley St. when Kelly was coaching there and he turned that program into a power.. he then took the job at Central Michigan, which is a MAC school, and they just won the MAC, now he's at Cinncy and they are turning into a very solid program.

they haven't had to search for a coach since Schembechler all the way back in 1969... every coach since then has come up as assistants... they obviously have no idea how to conduct the whole process
was just thinking the same thing... they have been turned down by Kirk Ferentz and Greg Schiano now (and I suppose Les Miles to some point as well)
