That's what the cash for clunkers then the Obama Epa restrictions were for. Then we all started to get 6, then 8, and then 10 speed transmissions and auto start stop and afm etc. Now we have a bunch 4 & 6 cylinder trucks and hot garbage that starts at 40+k$. It was never really about improvement.
