yes, the President can declassify anything he wants. the problem is theres no evidence at all that he ever did that. he's walking around with 300+ completely unsecure top secret documents that he lied about taking. trump took over 300 classified documents he had no right to, including top secret and special access program level documents, these are the most important secrets America has, this is American security, this is the shite that effects our safety, NARA spent a year trying to get them back, and trump just played little fricking games the whole time.

the timeline at this point is trump got a subpoena from the National Archives, looked through all the big boxes of documents he stole, said “I’m going to keep a lot of these” and hid them in a closet in his office at his shithole country club. god only knows who was walking around that place and who he was showing stuff too.

trump lied about what he had over and over, he kept saying he needed more time to look through everything, he kept stalling, he'd return some things but not others, all while our national secrets lay on the floor of his fricking bathroom.

in January, trump returned about 150 classified docs that he wasnt supposed to have. in June, he returned a dozen more and swore that was it, he said that was everything.

when the FBI hit MAL two weeks ago they found 140 more documents, still marked and labeled as classified, that he was lying about and hiding. some where in his closet for fricks sake.
