I'm with GetCocky11 on this. This is the type of stuff Star Trek has always dealt with. We are getting beat over the head with all types of issues from all sides.

I think it is a *big deal*. There's hardly time for what little, poorly written story there is with all the tag stories to check off all the different social agendas being overbearingly applied. Tiresome, unnecessary tokenism. It hurts me to say it but the show sucks. I'm done before Seven has to kiss yet another actress who can't act.
