I think that's a fair price. I got a 18 yo bottle in Dominican Republic airport with a nice box for like $70 or $75.

Sorry if Germans but does anyone know when they are going to start construction on the DQ on S. Sherwood? I thought they were supposed to try to open by July 1 and the last rumor I heard was Aug 1 but I know that is not going to happen. I saw the Dunkin Donuts sign was put up last week further down Sherwood and they already started working on that building.
That's what I thought you would say.
Gris ya wanna know the kicker Rum Tiger and I went to the same high school, all be it years apart,

Look him and his Dad and G/F flatly said no.

Then how the Hell could you not know where RummelTiger came from?

I just wanted to make sure before I made a bigger arse out of myself!

Seriously, I lost a dear person this week I've known since birth who also loved food and restaurants and I was really having a rough night tonight. You got me going and this was a great distraction. I can now open another bottle of wine and relax.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Glad I could help even if I made an arse of myself.

Well get you some oysters to try, too.

Hell Ya

I'm not really a cake person, but I'll accept creme brulee.

That will work
Where did you get your screen name from?

Your principle (and, BTW, it's principle, not principal...that person runs a school) needs rethinking.

I am glad I don't. English was never my forte

So you think, that because you spent, as a table, close to or over $500, that a restaurant should just give you something for free? Would you have expected and ordered dessert at no charge?

No

Because of this thread I will most certainly dine at Mansur's the next time I'm in town. I will call ahead and ask if it's okay that I bring a cake. I will bring said cake, agree to the cut fee, then chortle at your expense as I offer up slices of cake to the server, and those around me.

Cool let me know I'll join ya.

would have been nice to call first and inquire. True sign of the inexperienced. Now, that's not a bad thing because everyone is inexperienced at some point. I wasn't taught to call first. It's just instinct.

Anyway, now you know what to do to avoid this sort of situation. Regardless of what you continue to write, I think you learned something even if you won't admit it and that's part of the purpose of this board. So our job is done, here. (I hope.)

I learned and I admit it. If I ever see ya I buy you a slice of cake.
