re: OK if LSU makes NC game..

Of the two loss teams, LSU would go. Ohio St. played nobody, LSU has been number 1. Can't play if you don't win conference much less not even qualify for the game. VT we beat. LSU stands strong with two loses in triple over tiime one by 3 and one by 2. They could easily be picked out of the two loss pool.

But make sure you done give Mr. Football the ball when all you need is 2 yards to keep overtime alive. Lets pass the ball to a receiver who would have to magically have the ball go through the ARK DB and then he might could catch him. If there was such a love affair, Hester would have ran that 2 point conversion and landed half way into the endzone. He will be the most missed player on the team next year. And will be making about 2-4 million a year, this time next year.
Get a decent comment, it was hester or 5, and 5 was kinda nicked up this game. Hester if he is so slow and can't break it out, why did he have a 50+ yarder called back in the ARK game because our coaches can't teach the players how to properly line up.
Talent this good deserves a top level coach, and i am not convinced Les Miles is that guy. I know Saban is.
There is my two cents and report. Go miles, bring back saban...

I wasn't impressed with his coaching today anyway. My inside information, comes straight from the mouth of someone of the board of supervisors, who had buildings named after him and Huey Long was his grandfather. He says Les is gone and Nick is coming back.
He said that nick used a north LA recruiting trip kinda cover a meeting in Baton Rough. THe buyout with Alabama was discussed and LSU said they would help. Mrs. Saban, has said she wants her baton rough house back.
ANd as far as Nick goes, he know in the beginning alot of his salary might to to Bama, but before long he will get it all. Plus they make tons of money in endorsements and clinics.
Every single thing we have at LSU from both upper decks, to practice facilities, coaches buildings, student academic center, weight room, training room, locker room, was made exactly how saban wanted it. Its like coming back home to a house you built, from the ground up. And you know you can stay for the most part in state and have a top 3 recruiting class every year.
What i heard is Les is gone and its a done deal Saban will return.
I guess you can let the flaming begin. But i have heard reports like this one from a supervisors mouth, and also from a couple of other people who don't even know each other, so it is kinda interesting how similar the stories are.
Bottom line, i want Saban back, i want a defense that instills the instinct of fear from everybody we play. And he delivers that. Get an offensive genious in here who wll play verticle football and we can start clearing room in the trophy case. Say what you want about saban, he left for total controll of Miami Dolphins, who can blame him for that. He came back to the SEC and LSU never said a word to him. No after waiting a couple of years he has his dream job back. Where he wants to be and where his family wants to be.
It is suppossed to be a done deal... Take it however you want. But with Bo Polini leaving our defense can't do anything but improve, so maybe Miles will stay, get a top notch d coordinator and we can start playing defense, the stuff that wins championships. Come on OK and PItt, i really think we got a small shot at it all. Although we should have a 8 team playoff or at least a playoff with the conference champions. Its not fair to compare loses when you play a schedule like LSU then one like Ohio st. Ohio st. would have a losing record if they played in sec, so would Kansas, MIZZ and WV. Plus a championship game. Something needs to be done. Its not fair to play in sec under these rules...

The search is over. Saban is coming home. I have heard from a source who has building named after him, donates 1 mil a year and sits on the board. Saban's wife, wants her house back in baton rouge.
Search is over, the MAN is coming back to tend to what he single handedly built.
And i can't wait...

Done deal, Saban is coming home... Heard from a very reliable source. The guy has building named after him. Grandson of Huey Long, and is on the board of regents, or LSU board of directors.

My source, who is the grandson of Huey Long, says that NIck was picked up by BRPD and taken to LSU. Nick's wife's wants her old house back. Lsu said that they would help nick out of his contract, if nick would commit that this will be his last job. According to him and others who don't even know him told me the same thing. So the inside informatioin is true, Nick Saban will have he coaching job back. And don't forget, everything we love and have at LSU is because of one man and one man only Nick Saban. Supposidly it is a done deal, and i cannot be happier. Bring Nick back home. I don't want some hillbilly idiot throwing LSU visors, clipboards and headsets on the sideline. Saban will not be a coordinator or Spurrier, Spurrier doesn't deserve this job. Nick built this house. Wanted to try the pro's out and came back to SEC, and was waiting for the LSU job to open. It is a lock Saban is coming back. And the guy i am taking about, is on the board of regents and has multiple buildings named after him and donates 1 mil to LSU every year. He doesn't get bad info. But it is suppossed to be kept on the down low because Saban has to leave bama, and he doesn't want a circus around it. But the deal is done. And we get the king back. The best coach in college football, who would have won the championship this year with one hand tied behind his back.
Anyone harboring an anomosity to Saban, he denied the press because he wanted to tell his players first. Then he went to go have total controll of the pro team in Miami, who could pass that up.
Now that he is done with the pro's, he will be at LSU like Paterno or Bowden and just accumulate championships like i do empty beer cans durning tiger games.
I can't be happier, Nick "Little Hitler" the way he works refs and stalks the sidelines is coming home. And what a homecoming it will be. Get ready for our next championship in the next three years, and have the south enzone upper deck connected and after the next championship the north endzone wil be connected, and we will have the baddest stadium in the WORLD.
Get ready LSU fans, its on again.

re: Does LSU "deserve" a great, top-tier coach?
Posted by Tigerbacker on 11/22/07 at 8:31 pm to jamarkus
As far as this Kansas fan goes, number one he is a kansas fan. He doesn't know what is it like to compete for national championships in college football, the hardest accomplishment in all of sports. Usually one loss and your done. Every top tier school has a very small portion of fans who every-time their team loses, says fire the coach. Luckily we have AD's and board of directors that make those decisions. LSU has never ever fired a coach out of the blue or after losing one game. Dinardo, Curly, Archer were terrible coaches given lots of time to turn things around. If anything LSU kept bad coaches too long. Cause one we got Saban, our first top tier coach in a long time look what happened to our program. It exploded to one of the biggest if not the biggest in the nation. So Kansas fan, congrats on your season, if you played a sec schedule, you would have a losing record, but luckily you don't. If by chance you make it to the championship honestly, what do you think LSU if we make it will do to your team. The line will probably be over two touchdowns. Stick with basketball, what you know, enjoy you football successes when they come. But before you go to an elite teams message board and say things like who would coach at LSU because we fire coaches when they lose a game, is ridicules. Who would coach at LSU, everyone in college football and NFL would be a candidate. It is one of the top 5 coaching jobs in all of football. The question is who is LSU going to hire. Hopefully since Michigan finally fired Car for not beating Ohio St., les will probably go, but hopefully we can get saban back. Someone who knows the program and could hit the ground running. You can look at him and tell he isn't happy. When we went to bama, you should have seen him, looking across the field and a team he considers his, knowing more than anything he wished he was wearing purple and gold, not red. Hoping to be a tiger, not an elephant or a herd of red elephants????? Please hire Saban if les goes LSU, don't screw up. This makes me so nervous. Damn the wolverines.

I definitely without a doubt don't see how we couldn't have a top tier coach. I have traveled all over the sec, been everywhere except FLA and TENN and we have far superior facilities than everyone else. I have heard and read articles that out program and facilities are on par with NFL level facilities. We have tons of talent and should and are every year top 3 in recruiting, we are the only large school in our area. We have no choice, with the renovations to the stadium. I went to lsu from 1993 to 1997, graduated and moved back to shreveport. When i was there football was horrible. We started every year 0-1 to Texas A&M. Remember it was a little les than 10 years ago, 50 to 60K in tiger stadium was considered good. We can afford that anymore, we can't afford to let the program slip, and thats what would happen without a top tier or big name coach.
Here is where i will get pounded. If we can keep Les, we need to do everything we can to do so. If not, we HAVE to try to get Saban back. Bama and their facilities and recruiting against auburn, ole miss, miss state. LSU is a far superior job, plus at LSU everything that was built to make up so far superior was built by nick, just like he wants it. I have heard he hates it in Alabama and they gotta be questioning his salary. I think getting Saban back can be done. He would stay forever, this time. I don't have a problem when someone wants to take the next step or challenge themselves further. And when you get offered total control of the Miami Dolphins, nobody can turn that down. Now he has seen that the NFL is different, and want to be back with kids and all the great feelings that come with seeing kids become men and bond as a team and achieve greatness. I guess i have to admit, I am a Saban lover.
He built LSU football, won the national championship, and if les leaves, we have to get him back. Pay or do whatever it takes, Nick Saban would be a Bear or Bowden stable at LSU and win Championships on a regular basis. Keep what we got if we can, although les is gone. I don't blame him for wanting to go home, that is the job he has always wanted. And I think LSU is the job that saban wants back and would take back. Help saban pay his way out of bama. Buy his house back for him, and pay him 1 million more that any coach in college football that changes every 5 years.
With that said, I don't know any other options, Spurier, once he lost Bob Stoups and his great coordinators he didn't do anything at florida his last few years. Do you want the ole ball coach, throwing visors, clipboards and headphones, or do you want little hitler, prowling the sideline ripping arse on the refs making proper changes at halftime. Solidifying our defensive backfield, and could bring in almost any coordinators he wanted.
If we lose Les, Saban back home is the only option that will prevent a terrible drop off if Tiger football, that could put us back in Curly days. I have been there during that time, and I promise you, we don't want to go back to that. We must, no if ands or buts about it bring Saban home, if and probably when Les goes to the big house.
If not, i pray to God for LSU and their football program, but at least i will be able to upgrade my tix. I can get some chair-backs in the bowl to go with my stadium club tix. That will be the only benefit of losing les and not getting saban.
