Apparently he thinks he's at the better job, his opinion is all that matters.
Don't take Lincoln's word for it, the posters here know better than anyone

You're not getting a guy that's happy where he is to leave for just more money. Has to be more than that. People have said that from the very beginning, why would he leave for LSU? People continuously got ridiculed for that question but it turns out it's a damn good question.
Why would he leave for LSU? Because it's a better job than OU! Between money and that, why wouldn't he leave? :dunno:
Bill O'Brien did ok with Penn State, should keep LSU bowl eligible for quite some time.
He's a soft coach in a lesser coaching job why would LSU ever even go after Riley!?

Everyone keeps forgetting the trump card OU has in the bag though. I honestly have no idea if it got pulled out (Don't know how far negotiations were from LSU perspective, nor am I anywhere close to in the know if it had to be brought up) but I heard if needed Castiglone has a bullet in the chamber LSU couldn't touch.

Ya'll got more money than Quatar and couldn't pay enough to lure a coach from a Big-12 school? That's honestly wild to me.

OU doesn't either I don't think. You missed the chance to in a bidding war by a year. Go look at the price of oil these days.

I appreciate the self deprecation to post that GIF...Woodward throwing money at Riley to get burned just like Belfort. Bravo sir.

I'll give you a hint. His name rhymes with Dyke Moops. Riley and Grinch are still recovering from him setting the program back a decade. Moving to the SEC should help on this front.

Thank you kind sir. As the originator of this whole hooplah I would like to say again, thank you. It's been quite the entertainment the past few days.

From an outsiders perspective it's been fascinating to see the tide turn on this board from Lincoln being a "soft" coach for the past five years to them jizzing their pants at the prospect of him replacing Orgeron, to now half the board thinking he's soft again and half holding out hope. All over the course of, oh I don't know, 48 hours? For 98 million dollars and a better coaching job, you'd think he would make the jump to LSU...but sometimes things don't work out and those same things and they make you think and go "hmm". Again, just an outside perspective.
