Are you Francis Yerby's son?
sorry...
you made a series of posts about a year ago concerning danny yerby...
Are you still researching him?
Are you Francis Yerby's son? Francis was in my class....I attended Jesuit 1967-1971
furthermore, in answering your questions. Yerby was a senior on that championship team, 67/68
Hi,
Just stumbled across this, a year later....
Yes, I watched danny yerby when I was a freshman at Jesuit high school, shreveport. I went to all the games that year and watched the championship game at the State fair grounds in shreveport. I wish I could remember more. It was probably the best high school game I've ever seen. The football term back then for a running back such as danny was "scat back"....He was that. Never knew he did a 4.3 in the forty. No wonder he accomplished what he did. I did not know him personally, however, his younger brother ,Francis Yerby, was in my class. He did not play football.
The other brother, Dennis, did play but I don't recall him achieving the status that Danny did.
Sorry I don't know more.
