re: Greg Schiano to stay at Rutgers

haha.

Oh good lord what a weird coaching search for both teams.

I think UM and R-Kansas are getting pushed into corners.
I don't think Brian Kelly would take the job (I hope not) if Grobe turns them down.

I think Kelly either wants a Big 10 job or a top program.
I didn't know GT led the nation in sacks.

Maybe I'm wrong on the non-aggressive D.

So who are some young up and coming aggressive DC's at smaller programs, or Defensive assistants at big programs?
I actually haven't heard great things about Tenuta.

I've heard that he isn't a blitzer, likes to only rush 4-5. Sound familiar?

We'll see I guess.
Post your speculation here.

I assume Tenuta will get the most play early.
It had to be.

I'm one, and I marveled a bit at the room he left himself with the wording.

He could have said: "I am not going to Michigan. Period. I WILL stay at LSU long term."

He didn't. This is going to get interesting.

People who say we "need to hire someone people have heard of" are the biggest tool sheds in the world.

What you mean is, "we need to hire someone I've heard of." The internet brings out the mouth-breather fantasy football mentality that is mind boggling.

Brian Kelly is a damn good coach and has just as impressive a resume, if not more impressive, than Urban Meyer did pre-Florida.

Brian Kelly is a damn good coach, extremely well respected, and WILL be the coach of a MAJOR program within 2 years.

Anyone who thinks otherwise really has no clue what they're talking about. People want so called "proven" coaches because they have heard of them. What we need is the right coach.

I think Chris Peterson and Brian Kelly are much more likely than Spurrier, Del Rio, Tuberville, or Saban. People need to start getting real.

Peterson and Kelly would be really interesting choices in my mind.

He's actually my #1 choice.
I've been thinking Chris Peterson for a few weeks now. I think it would be a really interesting hire.
