I asked the President. This was his response.
You say LSU terminated him, but it was Woodward. Board approval was not provided which invalidates Woodward's action, i.e. LSU's arguement.
Kelly's "willful refusal" to fire Sloan materially breaches his duty to supervise/direct assistant coaches and comply with reasonable AD directives. It reads pretty straight forward to me. These are normal duties of all NCAA head coaches.
We will see it play out in court, OR, Kelly settles and goes away, hopefully the latter. Either way this circus needs to end.
You’re right. If LSU didn’t document shite properly they’ll have to settle or pay monthly installments.

If they provided any documentation the contract allows LSU to fire Kelly for cause over a defiant refusal to fire an assistant: It's explicitly a "material breach" leading to "immediate termination" with "zero payout”.

I guess we have to wait and see if the rumors were true and if any documents are leaked.
Only reasonable thing rumored to be worthy of firing "with cause" would be from his contract:

Termination by LSU for Cause:
"Unreasonable refusal or repeated failure to perform any duties imposed herein"
Duties and Responsibilites:
"Performing all duties and reasonably assigned to Employee by AD"

In other words, AD told him to fire Sloan. He refused. Therefore he can be fired with Cause.

If you boss tells you to fire an employee and you refuse, you can be fired.

Ohio State’s 1st TD yesterday was a shallow 1 yd drag to Jeremiah Smith. We could do that with a number of our receivers.

We ran that play, on 3rd and 8. I think we got 2 yards.

re: This is BKs Offense.

I agree 100%.
The reason BK lost his shite on Cauble last night was because BK himself is the reason the offense is sluggish. They are overly concerned about remaining balanced which is why they constantly run the ball for no gain. It’s like they’re playing roulette to determine the next play, and occasionally Sloan is confident enough to do something “crazy” like run a skinny post with Anderson or a screen/slant with Thomas. Take what the defense gives you and make them defend every blade of grass.
Sloan makes decent (but obvious) in game adjustments. I hope to see better game planning going forward. I'm tired of the Cam Cameron pass plays, 15 yard out routes, and need utilize the middle of the field more. Basically watch the 2019 tape and run those plays.
Last year JD appearing to read only 1 wr was mostly a combination of impatience or the pocket collapsing. Also there’s the plays that are actually meant for just 1 read (2-3 guys run off routes RB max protect).
He is much more comfortable in the pocket this year which is why we see him going through his progressions. His timing and rhythm are nearly perfect, his pocket awareness is insane, and his accuracy is off the charts. Honestly he makes it look too easy sometimes.

re: Penalties were blatantly one sided

I heard disconcerning but my grammar-nazi father in law informed me that it’s actually disconcerting, and told me disconcerning is not a word.

Disconcerting signals are penalties where the officials believe players on the defense are trying to simulate a snap count or hand signal for the offense.
Also at a wedding in NOLA last night. Need to rewatch the game. Streamed as much as I could. Looked like JD improved and pushed the ball downfield.
