"A-well-a, everybody's heard about the bird. Bird, bird, bird, b-bird's the word,"
I'm flying out on an international flight at 8pm eastern, so I'll take the early kick and hope to see my Ags win.
Elko's reply yesterday at the press conference about the early start time was nonchalant and on brand. He said the 12th Man has been there all season and will be there at 11am on Saturday, he and his team just want to play ball no matter what time, and said they will be ready and are glad to have the opportunity and hope to put on a show.

re: a&m has never played in Lexington including next season.

I bet lot of Aggies will travel to KY when the game does get scheduled there.
Going from the Broyles to being in the broiler getting cooked.

Maybe ND will be ranked by the committee 13th next season.

That said, if that's the expectation of the role, it should be defined in the contract, not something the university pulls out of its arse as an excuse later down the line.
Was that wrong? Should I not have done that? :rotflmao:
What about the Christmas spirit thing? Any flexibility there...?

To be fair to LSU fans though, I bet most message boards will have twats making similar comments about some coach who was at a different school before getting hired by their own school.

re: Over/under until Kiffin is fired at Lsu 4.5 years

I think he stays a bit longer only because no other big or bigger name program will want him, nor the LSU folks will be able to afford his buyout.
Kiffin will win plenty, certainly more than Jimbo's time at A&M, but that won't be enough for LSU fans. It's just that they bit off more than they can chew and therefore will have to sit and digest for a good many years.
Unenviable situation of can't shite but can't get off the porcelain throne.

I suppose I meant Ags were seeded higher in the SEC tourney: 2 vs 3 seeded Longhorn team. So I expected a closer game...that 4th set got away from Ags in a hurry in the last half.
Ags were ranked higher but lost the semi final game.

stay in one place too long, no matter how successful he is. I imagine Monte moved the family around a lot and that’s what Lane grew accustomed to. Just like the military kids bouncing around from one base to the next.
This makes little to no sense.
Wiki entry for Lane Kiffin states:
quote:
He graduated from Bloomington Jefferson High School in Minnesota in 1994,[6] and committed to Fresno State University to play college football. He played backup quarterback for the Bulldogs, giving up his senior season to become a Student Assistant Coach for position coach Jeff Tedford.[7] According to teammate David Carr, Monte Kiffin forbade his son from quitting the team because of lack of playing time, so Lane became a coach instead.[8] Kiffin graduated from Fresno State in 1998.[7]
As for Monte himself:
quote:
He spent nearly 30 years as an NFL assistant coach, including 13 years as defensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with whom he won Super Bowl XXXVII.
...
Kiffin earned a reported $2 million annual salary during his time with Buccaneers and turned down several NFL head coaching jobs during his career.
...
After Tony Dungy was dismissed by the Buccaneer front office following the 2001 season, Kiffin was persuaded by incoming head coach Jon Gruden to remain in Tampa and continue to run his defense. Kiffin had been interviewed for a head coaching position with the San Francisco 49ers. With the seamless transition on defense allowing the new coaching staff to focus intently on a more potent offensive philosophy, the result was an immediate balance between offense and defense that carried the Buccaneers to the organization's first championship in Super Bowl XXXVII on January 26, 2003, in San Diego, California.
Seems to me the elder Kiffin was old school, stable man. His son is a brat and not because of dad's upbringing or dad's example in life.
Thanks!

Barley is good rivals to Oats.
Actually, it out-competes oats if you're talking about brewing beer or distilling whisky!
