I had Achilles tendon reconstruction and was two weeks post-op. Went to get on the knee scooter and it rolled out from under me. instinct was to put my foot down to break my fall. The pain that gave me was the most excruciating I've EVER felt. It felt like one end of a rope was tied to the back of my leg and the other was tied to an 18 wheeler that was going 100mph and jerked the rope. HORRIBLE! I completely shredded the repair and had to go back and have it done again. It was worse then the initial injury. That was in August; I'm still recovering. Not sure if my foot will ever be the same. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has them.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio from Arizona. He takes no shite from anyone. That's what this city needs!! AND he makes all the inmates wear pink everything.

So when dealing with someone like this, how do you approach them in trying to show them that something is clearly wrong? If there's only one of us telling her about the issue, then we are the problem. If it's more than one, then everyone is out to get her. I hate that things are the way they are, but I've had enough of the abuse and being treated like crap when she goes out of her way for everyone that is not one of her kids. Thanks for all the advice and insight in helping me understand what I'm dealing with. Is is hereditary and are most of them just downright mean and hateful?

I just want to say thanks to all of you for your insight. I've been dealing with my mother's antics for years and I thought it was bipolar, but I think you have now given it a name and proper diagnosis. Of course, I could never say anything to her about it---we already aren't on speaking terms due to some very nasty voicemails she left me a while back. It gets to a point where it's about self-preservation and respect. I refuse to allow anyone to talk to me or treat me that way. Thank you all so much. Makes me feel better about taking a serious step back. She treats her own kids like absolute shite, but puts on a good front for everyone else.
