Laron Landry--Was he addicted to steroids?

Posted by 225 on 1/5/18 at 6:54 pm
Below is a link to a video which I feel is a very good and thorough analysis of Laron's career. I was a huge fan of his and the following views are not my own. I do feel it may be a good discussion in this forum.

Was Laron Landry ADDICTED to STEROIDS? What Happened to Laron Landry?
Tell that to USC, remember them? What about Texas, Florida, Notre Dame?? We gotta start being more realistic. Did we think those championship seasons would go on forever? We wanted Jimbo and he won at FSU but now look at that situation. Sometimes patience is needed.

How the hell is a 14-year-old from Country Club of Louisiana with a surgeon father supposed to relate to a kid from north Baton Rouge?

Look to God he will show the way...

It's just two very different lifestyles trying to mesh with absolutely no guidance on how to do so.

The Bible is full of these stories on how to accept others despite differences. I am a proud graduate of CHS and a black male. I now have a successful career and CHS helped me in the process of achieving that. Lets not forget that the mission of CHS and other schools like it is to pass on the values of Jesus Christ to its students and those values do not include exclusivity.

David Shaw?

What do you think about David Shaw as a potential replacement? I feel he could be a breath of fresh air and recruit very well. I would think that money wouldn't be an issue in bringing him here and he'd have access to so much HS talent in our state.
Ask yourself these questions.
Is Glenn Dorsey as dominant in The Leauge as he was at LSU?
Where is Chad Lavalais?
Do you hear Drake Nevis or Marcus Spears names mentioned every Sunday?
To that end where are Charles Scott, Jack Hunt, Ali Highsmith, and (insert other great LSU names)

Dude the NFL is the elite Leauge of football composed of the absolute best of the best in the Nation. Just because LSU ran past a few Oregon offensive linemen don't think for a second they are more talented than DL in the League who by the way also have 5-10 years of pro experience on them.

sometimes?

I realize that because it's been years since we've seen solid QB play, the quick slants to TT to us look like Manning picking apart an NFL defense. I must admit that I too was excited. Then I saw JL throw a pop fly off his backfoot for no good reason in the Tenn game. So yes 'sometimes.'

also unless lee throws a td from outside the 10 yard line...(unless there is only a few seconds left and no timeouts) then he doesn't even get to finish what he started. This is a stupid post. Lee hasn't gotten the opportunity so to rank him against other full time starters is completely ignorant. He is by far the better qb, and certainly the smarter qb and has proven to be clutch. I knew this was going to happen the first time lee did not come out and be superman.......that is the mentality on here.....he doesn't deliver one time so he is garbage...despite bailing our arse out on two different games this year......wow.
Dude no coach, even the worst coach in the world has Joe Montana or Dan Marino on the sidelines and keeps him there. If JL was really as good or flat-out heads and shoulders better than JJ do you really think he would ride the pine?

LSU has no QB...so get over it

Every day its a new post on who should start or if JL should start and I'm just sayin it clearly does NOT matter who starts OR who plays. Now I realize that JJ can run the ball better and JL can sometimes throw a prettier pass but lets grab a hold of reality: We are going into the 9th game and each of these guys has only thrown 2 TD--TWO.

For comparision chris Relf of Miss St. has 6 TD, Larry Smith of Vandy has 5 TD and Matt Simms of Tenn has 7 TD. Most TD.com members would look down their noses at these guys the week before LSU played against them. These guys are all SEC QBs and none of them have double digit TD numbers but even Larry Smith has the same number of TD passes as JJ + JL + Spencer Ware.

Can we all just move on from this now and support whoever is behind center this year? Because truthfully you gotta admit there's not much difference in passing production between the two.

re: Hester?

The NFL is another level my friend. At LSU he played tailback but in the NFL he will play fullback 99% of the time. Plus, he is currently behind Mike Tolbert at FB a rookie from Coastal Carolina. Some critics of Hester said coming out of LSU he was a "tweener"--he's not a true fullback and not a true tailback...Only time will tell if he is utilized more in their game-plan.
