My family has property in Washington Parish with a creek running through it and several wooded ponds. Has a few wood duck boxes on it too. Only thing is that I've never seen a duck out there lol. Maybe I never get there early enough...

I was definitely thinking about trying elm hall out. I fish Lake Verret out of Attakapas every now and then and isn't too bad of a drive. I'm guessing just camp out along one of the canals? ...

Yeah, the game wardens say it's been a terrible year there compared to past years. Lottery hunts are pretty much just wood duck hunts depending on what section you draw...

Definitely a cool sight. I saw around 100 land in the LSU lake not too long ago....

Pass shooting is all I’ve been doing, so as long as they are in the general area I feel like I can find where they are flying. Having them land would be a bonus ...

Is this toward the south farm area you are talking about? From what I’ve seen that area is just lottery hunts that I’ve done, besides sec 120 that I looked at. I know there is a north farm also, which is youth hunts...

Yea I went out to 120 and looked around, but didn’t want to hunt there. The only hunting in sherburne I’ve done are from lottery hunts...

New to duck hunting, but have found wood ducks to be a blast to shoot and eat. I’m looking for some areas to scout if anyone knows of any? I scouted Joyce wma so far which was so so.
